Favourite Aspect of a Theme Park Ride?

The fun fair was in our town a few days ago, couldnt go though cause some of my mates are on the USA school trip and others just busy/dont like them :/

But anyway, do you like height, speed or spinning most in a theme park ride?

I love speed (lmao) the G-force is brilliant and even though I have a bit of claustrophobia it doesnt affect me. :D Like height too but HATE too much spinning, makes me feel sick and stops me wanting to go on anything else.

Funderland was here in September and came back for Halloween due to demand rofl

I think it only goes around Ireland though like Dublin/Cork/Belfast etc so I doubt you guys know of it, but my favourite ride on there is The Waltzers and I'm sure you all know what they are ? :D

Love them they spin so epicly.
I love shouting at the guy 'FASTA MAN FASTA!' like the little fruits in the advert.

I adore really fast rides, not a fan of the big drop ones but do tend to go on them.

Tough question, I love height and speed.

I opted for speed in the end. Rides like The Hulk in the Universal 'Islands of Adventure' get me going....... lol

Speed mostly. But I love height too.

Spinning things make me feel sick :(

LOL, when I went on that I had a bad shoulder for the next 3 days

Proper shaking about in my seat.

I still like the old rides, like the tower of terror and that...

Oh the Tower of Terror is just awesome.

On a quiet day I can go round and round on that one.

I like this one, but it's in the dark too much and I like to see where I'm going, even though I have no control over that. The music is the bigger attraction for me with this one.

Just the overall adreneline hit really. Not really a fan of spinning anymore though. Used to be

MissKittyFantastico 27-10-2010 09:56 PM

Well, I hate heights, going fast freaks me out and I get claustrophobic

I'd never actually been on any type of ride at all until I went to Universal last month, and I didn't want to come away not having been on anything so I went on the Jurassic Park water ride, I was ****ing terrified because I knew there was a HUUUGE 90ft drop at the end, I nearly lost my stomach contents, but I actually loved every second of it. I went on it 3 times, then the Bilge Rat Barge ride twice and a log flume ride which drops you about 60ft, and they were all amazing.

I chickened out of going on the Hulk coaster though, I just dont think I'm brave enough to cope with that much rush of adrenaline, height and speed at the moment. My OH dragged me onto The Flight of the Hippogriff mini coaster in HP World and I have never held onto anything so tight in my life, I also ended up with a bruised elbow because it kept banging against the side where I wouldn't let go  The bloody thing only lasted for about 3mins and I thought I was going to die :bawling:

So yeah I really needed an all three option in that poll

OMFG. Last time we went to america, we took my gran with us, who is like 90. And we took her on that thinking it was just a like...safari type ride. And then we saw the drop thing coming up and nearly DIED. Her hat flew off and the photo it takes on the way down is hilarious, I must find it sometime...but she said it was the biggest thrill she had had in a long time

Rofl :joker:

Well I knew what I was letting myself in for at least, I was ****ting it but just thought what the hell, omg the picture, the worst I have ever seen of me EVER, and that's saying something, if I had tonsils you would have had a close up view because I was right at the front with my gob wide open :joker:

I looked at that, like stood and looked at it for like 10 minutes, trying to get up the nerve  After my Hippogriff experience I just couldn't though, same with The Hulk  Did you do the main Harry Potter ride, the one after the tour of Hogwarts? I nearly **** my pants on that too and that was only a simulator

Next time we go I'm gonna though, I'm determined to do ALL the coasters, even if it kills me lol.

Vicky. 27-10-2010 10:11 PM
