Classical music/songs that have an effect on you

What classical songs make you feel happy/sad/moved etc?

For me it has to be I Vow To Thee My Country:

I don't know why but it makes me feel really sad and calm. I think it makes me sad because my Mum loves it so much and I don't see her to often cause she lives in Dublin and I'm in london. :(

Have you got all night?

I'll post this as it doesn't quite count as "easy listening" which is where I've normally been posting videos. One of the great opera finales.

Plus anything Maria Callas sings seems to tug on the heart strings. I wish I knew what it was about her.

Yeah I guess I've got all night :)

Post away lol

I've never really been big on Opera, but her singing Madama Butterfly <3

Yeah, she was as good an actress as a singer too, gutted I never had the opportunity to see her live... or this guy.

This symphony always enters my head when I think of Dante or the Divine Comedy. Very eerie and otherworldly.
