Lady GaGa fans seem to think she's the first artist to ever be unique?

Because her deluded fans have been brainwashed by her believing she is so 'original , 'qwirky' and 'interesting'. When she is a total con artist.

err no I don't obviously hundreds of artists around have been/are unique, it's just atm she's the one every one is talking about because a lot of the things she does are unique

And she's apparently a gay icon so I doubt any 10 year olds would be in a gay club raving to Bad Romance.

Because you've got young teenagers who havent had anyone around in the past 5 years do anything shocking........its simple really.

Shocking does not = unique

there have been plenty of people who dress weird before her

Shock tactics are the thing she uses most, I dont see anything Unique about her......well except she tries to be more weird everytime she does something (Thats not a dig at her just she's doing what sells......and good on her)

I wouldn't say that all her fans think that way. The ones who do.. have probably not seen/heard a wide range of other artists to make a comparison. Some people amaze me with their limited music knowledge, but in those cases, it's understandable that they'd find someone like GaGa to be 'unique'.

I personally love GaGa. Her music is good, and her personality is hilarious. She's not doing anything a great deal differently from the things Madonna did in the 80s. I loved her at that time also.

GaGa brings something fresh to a rather bland music scene full of 'samey' artists. I applaud her for that.

Not really, she's unique because she's one of a few artists out there who is involved in everything she does, from writing her music, to playing instruments on the album, designing her clothes, her tour. Her whole angle is being a freak it's not some ploy to sell records.
