Who's left that you think the judges would save Katie over?

I personally don't understand all the outrage over them saving Katie over Treyc, because Treyc had been in the bottom two only one less time than Katie had.

But what worries me about the fact that the judges keep saving Katie is this: how many people would they save Katie over?

It makes sense to save her over Wagner, but I worry that they may even save her over Paije/Aiden/Mary and I really don't think they can justify that at all.

If they need her on the tour, she only needs to stay one more week, which is fine if she's up against Wagner. Up against anyone else, and they might send someone home who doesn't really deserve it. Then again, after all the backlash they've gotten over this, maybe they wouldn't dare save her over anyone else other than Wagner.

How far d'you think they'll take it?

They'd save her over Wagner and Paije. Possibly Mary too, it'd be a good choice if they did.

Personally I think that as all of the contestants left bar Katie have never been in the bottom 2 and this will be Katies 4th time then they shouldn't save her over anyone, including Wagner. If they save her again Simon is just saying a big ****** you to everyone who wasted their money voting

This.

It's really unfair that they're saving her by getting rid of good acts so she makes the tour.

I actually prefer Katie to Mary too, I just don't really think they could justify doing it. Also, it mainly worries me that if they'd save Katie over Mary, they'd save her over Aiden too :/

Mary and Paije and of course Wagner, though i quite like Wagner. Mary like her song has got nothing and the same goes for Paije. The two of them have the ZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzFactor.

Save being wired up to the mains each time they sing, and no doubt Paije's and Mary's few fans would want their detractors to be, how do you ******ing stay awake during their performances. They could make money selling their albums as an alternative to sleeping pills.

Well I think the only one who she would be saved over is wagner. I hope this week is katie vs wagner. Because I would quite like to see katie on the tour and really dont want to see wagner. And I want to see all the others so hope its wagner leaving this week

Hahaha. I feel the same when it comes to Mary. Once her performances are over I find I can't remember any of it. I quite like Paije, but I wouldn't be bothered if he went, and his performances are a little boring. I'm just not sure if they'd be able to justify saving Katie over them.

Ones who i think would sell tickets on the tour -

Matt - women especially
Rebecca - mass appeal
Cher - young crowd
Wagner - controversial but people would be intrigued about seeing him live just as they were Jedward / Chico et al
One Direction - young screamers
Aiden - at a push but he is very on trend with the twilight crowd

Unfortunately anyone else is expendable to the Cowell Touring Money Machine. Mary and Paije wouldnt draw in a crowd or a niche

Katie - marmite performer that the DM lurve

others can gtf as far as xfactor bigwigs are concerned

Katie's been in the bottom two often enough for the least observant person to realise she isn't popular.

Barbie 10-11-2010 02:15 PM

Shes been there too many times to be saved against anyone by rights, but i think if the judges fancy a bit more controversy then she would be saved over Wagner and Paije. If they really wanted to shoot themselves they'd save her over Mary.
All of these are like saying sod your voting because we are saving Katie whatever.

Definitely not popular with the voting public which is probably 80% teenage girls. An extra incentive for them to buy the tickets for the tour and give her a good booing.

I agree with that statement, they will be playing a very dangerous game if they save Katie again IMO, even Cowell etc must know after last weekend that they have pushed the public a little too far with this one

I am pretty sure the majority of Aiden fans don't like him because they're part of 'the twilight crowd'. That's a misconception from the likes of Simon Cowell.

Stacey. 10-11-2010 03:19 PM

Paije, Wagner. That's probably all..

I actually think Cowell has a point however I am not saying that ONLY that crowd will like him but my point was that at the moment due to the current trends that that is actually selling (tickets, merchandise etc) and Aiden fits a perfect marketability for that particular market

I like Aiden because he was amazing when he sang 'Mad World'.. very theatrical but since then he's been a bit rubbish. It's got nothing to do with Twilight I don't even watch it.

I guess so, but I just don't really think that's one of the major reasons that people like him. I think for most of his fans it's simply more to do with the fact that he's unique and so is his voice.

But I suppose I see what you mean - because of his intensity they can relate him to that whole Twilight thing (even though I feel that's trivialising Aiden a lot) which adheres to the current trends.

Eh, I just feel like Aiden's a hell of a lot more than that. A lot of potential fans who might be all 'he's hot and intense like Edward Cullen, pick up the phones!' are probably the tweens who vote One Direction.

It is trivialising him but until they do something completely out of left field with him and show some versatility then he will unfortunately be sold like a trend puppet - remember his 1st audition? Totally different to anything he has done ont eh live shows where they seem to insist on him portraying a dark, intense almost character

I also agree that I feel he is a lot more than this but unfortunately the tweens vote ... i would just love to see him do something more upbeat to showcase that fab personality

Shaun 10-11-2010 04:37 PM

Only Wagner. Saving her over anyone else would be a total disgrace.
