Battle as I'm A Celebrity returns (Spoiler)

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukp...1289692703500A
Spoiler:

Quote:

For the first time, all 10 of the celebrities had to take part in the opening Bush Tucker Trial, which included eating a kangaroo penis and being subjected to a host of creepy crawlies.

The group was split into two teams - boys versus girls - to compete over five rounds based on popular TV shows.

The winners were to get one final night of luxury before entering the jungle, while the losers faced a makeshift camp outside.

The celebrities, still in their smart outfits, were visibly shaken ahead of the challenge.

HOT!!!!

Patrick 13-11-2010 11:33 PM

Sounds exactly like last year's only instead of Sam and Gino it's a bunch of old senior citizens.

Omah 13-11-2010 11:34 PM

Lembit and Kayla to get it on .....

Mac Hiavellian 13-11-2010 11:37 PM

This could be good. I find I'm A Celeb quite repetative and although it's the predictable task everyone knows will happen I'm glad it's shaking things up by having them all do it from the off.

ILoveTRW 13-11-2010 11:41 PM

So this is something like the 5 consecutive year that the have used the split camp twist, get some new ideas IAC.

Jords 13-11-2010 11:43 PM

They should do a twist like '1 of them wont even make the jungle' by doing a BT.

Eurgh, that's true. Hopefully there'll be more to the divide than previous years. I can hope

Also, does anyone else hate the mini task for immunity of the first elimination? Why should it only affect the first elimination when they get voted out every single day from there on?

Doubt it, all they ever do is split them up and then 3 days later reunite them.
Having said that, sitting through all that pointlessness was definitively worth it to see a footballers wives actress bite a fashion designer lol.

Lol yes but that was '06 right? The year IAC first tried the divide which was a good year when effort was clearly made to refresh the show but then every year since then has just been repetative again

No idea, I remember **** all about IAC, it all just blurs into one. All I know is that the Janice Dickinson series was the best.

I'm ashamed to admit I probably know too much about IAC. Janice Dickinson was series 7 (also good but copied a lot from the previous year)

Series 1 (Tony Blackburn year) was amazing and kinda similar to BB1, it was new, had so so so so many arguments and just wasn't part of the all smiley/all panto package from series 2 onwards where the 'celebs' know what they're in for.

And Series 6 (Matt Willis year) was the most original since then by expanding the series run, dividing the camp for the first time, affording 'bigger'/recogniseable names (Mylene Klass, Jason Donovan, Phina Oruche, David Gest)

The show just needs another drastic change. Redesigned titles, different outfits, a more competative format, seemingly more dangerous tasks, more viewer interaction, bigger spaces between eliminations, more opportunities for immunity, live launch, total secrecy about contestants. Anything!

That series was pathetic and vile.

She's a loud mouth American *****.

The 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2009 Series were epic.

2007's one with Janice sucked balls, just like everything else that year.
X Factor 4 and BB8.

I agree.

Although the titles are just fine and I love the theme tune, I reckon we'll be getting new titles tomorrow for some reason.
Like proper new.

The series should also be longer.

Hey, Did you hear though?

Apparently, there's going to be a talking evil tree!
I heard it's meant to give the contestants secret tasks and try to turn them against eachother, I think it's going to be called The Tree Of Temptation? So that's something new and excit-

Oh wait no,
They're stealing that from Big Brother 11.

X Factor 4 and BB8.

Which 2004 series were you on about? Series 3 (Kerry Katona, Katie Price, Peter Andre) was in January '04 and Series 4 (Joe Pasquale, Janet-Street Porter, Paul Burrell) was the first to get the now-traditional Novemeber slot

IAC '07 was alright because it had some good contestants (even though they weren't as famous or recogniseable as '06) but they had some good arguments between Janice, Lynne and John, the Keris/Marc 'affair' and Biggins was panto relief. It was just the twists and tasks were exactly the same as the year before. '08 and '09 were pretty much the same here and there apart from last year obviously having the first day task and 'Katie Price MK2' (hated that though lol)

Barbie 14-11-2010 07:13 AM

Another divide! How original. They need new ideas!!

Gillian McKeith in tears over surprise start

:bawling: - Daily Record

Spoiler:

Quote:

DIET guru Gillian McKeith was the first unhappy camper to reach for a tissue yesterday - after being ambushed at her hotel.

In scenes due to be shown in tonight's first episode, tearful Gillian looked distraught after facing some jungle critters for the first time.

Ant and Dec repeatedly told Gillian to remain in her seat as she tried to overcome her insect phobia.

Sheryl Gascoigne was hospitalised

 - Daily Record

Spoiler:

Quote:

The show had threatened to descend into chaos as Sheryl Gascoigne was hospitalised after injuring her arm in the task.

The insider said: "Sheryl hurt her arm as she finished one of the trials and she was dashed to hospital for a check-up.

"There were concerns that she might have broken her arm, but doctors insist there is no fracture or break in the bone.

"The arm is bruised and swollen and she'll have to wear a support for a couple of days, but she'll be fine."

Lol didn't notice this post before I went to bed. Isn't it just that Daniel Nettleton has joined the task team and that the Tree of Temptation itself is only exclusive to BB?

Really looking forward to this, its been miles ahead of BB in recent years

I remember in Matt Willis's year when Phina Oruche and the gayboy had the cat fight over the treasure chest
