Corrie anniversary online spin off's announced (includes special ITV News reports!)

Breaking news: Tram crash! (ITV News special)
And finally of course, there’s the storyline to rock every soap fan to the core. With the disastrous tram accident and subsequent explosion reeking devastation across Weatherfield, itv.com will play host to a sequence of spectacular and specially filmed rolling news bulletins directly from the scene of the accident. From interviews with the residents in the immediate aftermath to eyewitness footage, the unique approach will be anchored by ITN’s Alastair Stewart.

Gary's army diary
Furthermore, Gary’s Army Diaries is a unique, web-only chance to see what really happened to Gary during his time at war and the subsequent impact it had on him, through his specially written and filmed video diary.

Ken goes down memory lane
As no 50th Coronation Street Celebration would be complete without a trip down memory lane, what better way to look back than through the eyes and life of its longest serving character Ken Barlow? So with tissues at the ready, prepare yourself as Ken reminisces about bygone times with his grandson Simon.

OTT? It's celebrating half a century of being on TV, at least they are doing a lame spin off with teenagers that everybody hates :p

The memory lane stuff unds good with Simon and Ken, the news stuff sounds epic, with Alistar Stewart and the Army diary stuff is great, I was hoping they would do this

Also, on annivarsary week

There will be live webchats with Vicky Binns (Molly), Jack P. Shepherd (David) and Sally Dyvnor (Sally)

And a special goodbye from one of the cast

Blogs from former stars and other famous ITV faces
