I wouldn't say any major snowfall, maybe a few flurries or a light covering, definately cold though.

Smithy 23-11-2010 10:44 PM

Lancashire? :amazed:

Stacey. 23-11-2010 10:44 PM

Is it in Worcestershire?! D:

Rob 23-11-2010 10:45 PM

anywhere in the north could see some snow, eastern and higher ground at highest risk of significant snowfall, but i wouldnt rule out a light covering anywhere.

Smithy 23-11-2010 10:48 PM

Hmmm, we don't normally get snow, we had some in march, but I don't think we'll get it again :(

I was reading WeatherOnline earlier, they seem to believe the snow will become a significant problem in the south [and other places, but I just remember the south - because I live there - Isle of Wight] after the weekend [and over the next few months - but then that's looking far too ahead]. This true, or is it a different story from your perspective?

It gets warmer before it snow doesnt it?

We have light snow on saturday here in Reading, apparently that works for me i have the day off :) Hopefully now enough to stop driving though.

I wouldnt actually mind a lot of snow, i work about a 35 minute walk from my house, a hour walk from the gym.

When it snowed last year i was walking down a 50mph road (dead in the middle) at 8am which would usually be quite busy at that time and it was actually quite enjoyable.

hope so anyway.

That's the sea that has to be warm, I think. Water evaporates, low pressure areas then develop which when mixed with cold air turns to snow.

Am I right Rob? I'm learning at the moment :p

Same, I love snow. There's nothing better than in IMO :D

Please say that it will be thick in the Guildford area?! And what days could I expect some?

There are currently early indications that some more organised snow across the south later in the weekend and into next week, too early to say where and how much just yet.

Not usually, it's dependant on the wind, sometimes the wind can die down before snow arrives, therefore it doesn't feel as cold as it did, and sometimes it can do the complete opposite!

Looks like you could see some snow, as to how much is too early to say, most likely toward the end of the week or early next week.

Josy 24-11-2010 05:20 PM

Most likely, highest risk in the east and higher ground but pretty much everywhere will see some.
