Andre Recovering After Emergency Surgery

Quote:

Australian singer PETER ANDRE is recovering from an emergency operation on Friday (26Nov10) after he was hospitalised with "excruciating" stomach pains.

The Mysterious Girl star was struck down with a mystery illness on Thursday (25Nov10) and was taken to a hospital to be "monitored closely" by doctors, forcing him to cancel the opening date of his U.K. tour on Friday night in Plymouth, south-west England.

But concerned medics decided to rush Andre into the operating theatre on Friday for an "emergency" procedure. He is now recovering at home after being released from the facility.
It couldn't have been much of an "operation" - perhaps he had something stuck in/up his bum ..... :conf:

appendix ?

I read somewhere that he'd been suffering from gallstones - wonder if it was that. Far as I'm aware, they just blast them with a laser to break down into small tiny particles: still meant to be pretty painful peeing them out though !!:shocked::shocked:

Lets hope this is the end for him and he can now fade back into obscurity.

Not likely - there's a 4-6 week recovery period after an appendectomy .....

Now he knows the pain we feel listening to his music.

Cue numerous "how I nearly died" mag deals. Everything is a mag deal to him and Katie. Greedy *****s.

Stacey. 28-11-2010 03:22 PM

What was actually wrong with him? D:

His PR team milk every opportunity for all its worth. All this "we're really worried and dont know what it is" crap. Yes you do. Just say it and stop trying to build up a big drama out of it for publicity.

In fairness: gallstone pain can be similar to many very serious things, such as burst stomach ulcers, burst appendix - both of which can be fatal if not treated quickly enough. Until he was actually diagnosed that it was gallstones and not something far more serious, it's perfectly natural to have been concerned.

Some time ago, I had a twisted bowel (volvulus) :

Quote:

Volvulus causes severe pain and progressive injury to the intestinal wall, with accumulation of gas and fluid in the portion of the bowel obstructed. Ultimately, this can result in necrosis of the affected intestinal wall, acidosis, and death.

Poor Pete, let's hope this means he'll be getting more coverage than he already is on now.
