I thought the legend Trilogy (particularly Legend and Anniversary) had some of the best TR games. Legend brought the engine upto date and the trilogy's storyline was actually really good compared to the usual tosh. If Underworld wasn't so buggy it'd have been one of my favourite TR games.
I like her characterisation in the newer games, she was a bit more then a big boobed action heroine in them.

I completely disagree with everything. :p The stories in the first 3 TRs were pretty basic, but then they got pretty interesting. Legend's storyline needed for Lara's biography to be re-written, which SERIOUSLY angered me.

The game is completely different on the Wii. Get the next gen version, even though it's still a massive pile of w@nk.

Heck even III was a bit pretentious. As well as being, IMO, riddiculously hard in parts and lacking the same variety of levels II had [II was easily the series peak IMO].
Then you had the borefest expansion pack that was Chronicles and the half finished Angel. No wonder the series was taken away from Core.

You serious? TR3 had the most variety in levels out of the series. The Indian jungle, South Pacific, Nevada Desert, High Security Compound, the London rooftops & abandoned Aldwych and Antarctica.
I find Chronicles to be pretty underrated. I love the atmosphere in the Ireland levels. <3
Angel of Darkness was a massive controversy. Eidos (the publishing parent company) hadn't given Core Design enough time. Core originally had 3 years to make the game, but the deadline was then shortened by a year, then it was delayed after numerous complications and forced out before it was really ready. AoD has a lot more to offer for the same amount of development time than Legend, IMO.
