Cher's duetting with Cheryl?

I just read this on DS, I wonder if it'll help or hinder her chances?

Marc 06-12-2010 10:10 AM

Poor Rebecca.

Complete favoritism towards Cher

Jordan. 06-12-2010 10:16 AM

Is this comfirmed or just rumoured because they were saying Cher was singing Fight For This Love which never happened....

I think it'd do her good if true because of how many people like Cheryl.

Niamh. 06-12-2010 11:04 AM

Really? That's unusual but not at all surprising, considering how they've changed all the rules to keep Cher in there. Is it blatant favouritism over Rebecca? Yes. Will it do Rebecca any harm? No, Cheryl is sh1t anyway.

MrWong 06-12-2010 11:07 AM

This won't happen.

It was a jokey throwaway comment made on Xtra Factor.

Although i'm not suprised it was taken seriously, as it's now another convenient stick to bash Cher with.

Smithy 06-12-2010 11:08 AM

If anything, it'll hinder Cher, Cheryl can't sing live for sh!t anyway :joker:

which is why she'd never consider singing with Rebecca:joker:

nah, she'd never make herself look bad like that, no matter how much she loves Cher she loves herself a hell of a lot more!

joeysteele 06-12-2010 11:19 AM

It will finally remove any little integrity this particular series of X Factor has left, its bad enough having Judges as mentors too but for a mentor who is also a Judge who has 2 acts in the final and then to sing with one of those acts to supposedly help their cause will be not only rediculous but totally inappropriate.Anywhere, in any walk of life.

Maybe it won't happen and it should not happen anyway but it gives an explanation for the sudden decision for a sing off in the semi-final and saving Cher at all costs if this plan was in the forefront of their thinking.

Totally unfair and massively out of order for Rebecca, has Cheryl no decency at all as to professionalism and fair play.
Cher does though actually sing and sound better than Ms Cole does.

Jack_ 06-12-2010 03:42 PM

...wouldn't surprise me, I'm quite confident a Cher/Cheryl duet will happen at some point in both of their career's anyway.

I don't see a problem. A Rebecca and Cheryl duet wouldn't work at all, they're completely different styles of artists. Cher and Cheryl are near enough the same...

Stacey. 06-12-2010 03:44 PM

I don't think this will happen, but it'd be really good if it did.

King Gizzard 06-12-2010 03:45 PM

Completely unfair, there is not a female artist with the same amount of hype as Cheryl cole this days (even though she's **** at singing), anyone Rebecca would get wouldn't come close

Would be the final piss take seriously

There is a problem though, its blatant favoritism. Again. Like it has been all season.

Rebecca probably wouldnt want to sing with Cheryl...and Cheryl wouldnt sing with rebecca because rebecca would show her up. But still, if people cant see what would be wrong with this if it did happen, theres really no hope

King Gizzard 06-12-2010 03:51 PM

And its just the blatent fact she's performing with Cher to improve her chances over all the other contestants, wanting her to win, over Rebecca. which we all know she wants but as I said would be a piss take if it went ahead

Yeah. I dont think the rumours are true though.

IF they were, it would be the perfect end to the perfectly manipulated season tbh :laugh2:

Zippy 06-12-2010 03:54 PM

I don't think it's a good idea tbh. She shouldn't be helping one so much more than the other in such an obvious way. That said, Cher clearly needs the extra help more than Rebecca and is obviously just far more suited to Cheryls style.

But still no. We want new surprise stars in the final.

Locke. 06-12-2010 03:56 PM

If this happens every Cheryl fan must vote Cher to win. Even you Zippy.

Angus 06-12-2010 04:12 PM

If Rebecca wins it will be in spite of Cheryl, not because of her, and yet I bet the chavvy Ms Cole will take the credit.:bored:

Mystic Mock 06-12-2010 04:47 PM

definetly hinder.

Yes...exactly.

Z 06-12-2010 04:52 PM

Well this would be the biggest pile of biased nonsense ever if it's true - really hope Cheryl wouldn't, but you never know...

Loukas 06-12-2010 05:06 PM

Poor Becca.. :/

The other 'jokey throwaway comment' on Xtra Factor was that Cheryl would appear on Cher's debut album. Who said so....Mr, Cowell himself of course. So much for him then saying on Sunday that only the winning act matters to him . He can't alter the rules to suit himself........oh he can, I forgot that for a millisecond. Makes more sense though about why the 'public vote only' was dropped overnight to save mini me.....I mean Cheryl would hardly have wanted to have duetted with MARY NOW, WOULD SHE?
