This is what the UK looked like on thursday when snow was at its thickest. You have to bare in mind that many places had rain showers friday night that is why the picture taken on saturday is less white.

I just cut a 20 foot channel in our river (temp outside -11C) hanging onto trees and nearly drowning - if i dont then the frozen river (15 feet across) will flood as it is 85% frozen solid.
