katie has a pop at Xfactor
 

Now that she's back in the land of relative normality, Katie Waissel has had a little time to reflect on her time on The X Factor... and described it as "horrendous".

The singer was given a hard time by press, public and fellow contestants and claims she just "wasn't prepared" for all the hatred.

Katie, who was voted off the show a couple of weeks ago, told Grazia magazine that she "wanted to bury herself in a hole" as it became apparent that she was disliked by the public.

And it looks unlikely that she'll be chatting on the blower with mentor Cheryl now that she's out of the limelight.

In fact, she didn't chat to Cheryl much on the show either.

"Cheryl and I didn't have long chats," she explained.

Katie went on: "Cheryl told me not to read the papers and she was nice but she had her own problems. This show has been tough for her."

Yeah... poor Cheryl, she's had death threats too, you know. Of course, that hasn't stopped the Geordie lass spending plenty of time with mini-me Cher.

Anyway, Katie says she doesn't have Cheryl's number and doesn't know "if we will keep in touch".

But she is a big fan of one Louis Walsh.

"Louis was my absolute favourite," she added. "He gave me his mobile number and I'll definitely keep in touch."

Aww... go on Louis, get Katie a record deal.

My Grandfather always calls the telephone 'the blower'. It must be an old saying because most younger people seem confused and ask "the what.. you got someone on a blower?".

Anyways, she went further in X-Factor than was necessary. I'm sure she is a nice young Jewish girl with plenty of connections to do many different things in the music or entertainment industry,
but,
making records (i still call 'em records) is not her future. She shouldn't sing live either. She is a very mediocre entertainer.

I have to agree. She is nothing special, and she's shown us plenty of times that she isn't a good live performer.......what with her faux collapses, forgetting words.

In a nutshell..... she's just 'aint got it'.

Back to obscurity love.

Cant say I blame her.

Katie has been on the music circuit for years and it is well known her voice is going.......I wish her luck but won't buy her records.

Glad at least one judge has looked out for her. Just shows yet again how weak Cheryl is as a mentor.

I do feel sorry for Katie, but then I would wouldn't I, as a Warrior. However, having ALLEGEDLY been called a ***** and a fame hungery t**t by one of the other contestants, I do feel she is entitled to a moan. On top of which she had to put up with a bully-fest (ALLEGEDLY) from matt and Aiden making her life hell.

Look I know that there isn't smoke without fire and I think both she and Cher probably had attitude. But I worry when a 27 year old man has allegedly called a 17 year old girl a dick.

Cher portrays herself as a girl with attitude so if she is like that in real life there is nothing wrong with that. But if you play Mr. Nice guy and turn into Mr. Nasty off stage , that is more questionable.

You could say we are just as brutal on this forum with our choice of words, but it is one thing to be free speaking over the internet and another thing to speak out about a fellow contestant IMO.

What's she got to complain about!!
