Poll: Simon Or Chavryl Who Has Had The Bigger Fall From Grace????

Both have had thier reputation and popularity decline during this series of this X- Factor , but i would say that Chavryl has had the bigger decline.

I think Simon has, people loved him for his brutal honesty but now he says whatever Cheryl wants him to say

Tom4784 08-12-2010 07:54 PM

Neither of them, all publicity is good publicity.

Z 08-12-2010 08:06 PM

Simon edges it. They're both still popular, obviously, but Simon's a shadow of his former self in terms of his judging on the X Factor; Cheryl, whilst showing a bit of a bitchy side, is still overwhelmingly popular.

joeysteele 08-12-2010 08:11 PM

I think long term Cheryl, more have seen her for the scheming individual she is to get her own way at any cost Hopefully she will mentor/judge the USA XFactor and not be involved here after the farce she helped create this year.

Simon has allowed himself to be made to look rather silly at times and his real edge has been missing this series but it is not beyond salvaging in the future.

Hopefully a new judge and Cheryl gone and then we can put aside all the bias and silly underhand tactics played out this year.

MeMyselfAndI 08-12-2010 08:13 PM

Cheryl - death threats etc. awful decisions. racist

Saph 08-12-2010 08:52 PM

they both suck! Cheryl more, if she died i actually wouldnt care - thats how much i dislike her.

Stop trying to make Chavryl happen, It's not going to happen.

Uh.
Let's get some categories established here. Cher-L is just one of 1000's of contestants who get to some Final in a Simon Production.
He is and has been a major international celebrity/producer and probably billionaire with massive influence in the music industry.

So 'who has the bigger decline' isn't exactly comparable between him and 'yet another' 16 year old wannabe-actress/singer.
Which had the biggest fall?
A famous mountain climber who slid 1 km down Everest?
A teen who slipped down 1 stair?

Like most people I 'loved to hate' Simon but most times I had to grudgingly agree he was honest and mostly right in his analysis.
Not anymore.
Week after week he can actually look a Cher, a Katie or an Aiden in the face and glurge about how they were one of the most perfect, greatest and most professional things he has ever witnessed on stage.
WTF?

But after that Mary/Vote thing I seriously wonder if he has just lost touch with reality and no longer cares what anyone thinks about his honesty or sincerity anymore.

Simon has had a massive fall. He is still 'up there' but he has really lost a lot of credibility at this time.

My bad. I am getting so used to people on here thinking CherL is a bonafide superstar on the level of Simon that I ass-u-me'd this was another version of that.

Cheryl (as in adult cheryl) is still something of the same comparison/unfair comparison.
Simon is the actual owner/operator and is internationally famous and almost all of these big programs sort of 'premise' on Simon and his 'brutal honesty' thing.
Cheryl could get caught selling heroin and disappear tomorrow and it wouldn't hurt X-Factor, BGT, American Idol or whatever happens next.

Here again, Simon's fall is very very bad for the programs. Simon becoming insincere is a massive loss for X-Factor but also for BGT and AGT and American Idol and (whatever 60 of these things he runs).

Sorry, I know a lot of Brits don't know this but Simon is a massive and famous celeb/money maker worldwide.
He couldn't walk through a corn field in Kansas without being mobbed by locals.
Cheryl could walk down Hollywood Boulevard with a sign saying "IM CHERYL COLE" and, at best, 2 British tourists would recognize her.

Likewise:
Cheryl seen insincerely praising contestants = nothing surprising.
however,
Simon seen insincerely praising contestants = nearly the death of the entire singing contest genre today.

ElProximo 09-12-2010 06:26 AM

btw.. could we get some clarity on who is Chavr-L and who is Chavryl? I like to think of Cher-L as being the chav in this whole scheme. Lets clarify these insult names please :p

Callum 09-12-2010 06:30 AM

Probably Cheryl

Jessica. 09-12-2010 06:33 AM

What is Chavryl? :s

Pyramid* 09-12-2010 08:38 AM

Cheryl.

fruit_cake 09-12-2010 09:06 AM

Cher is also known as Mini Me, Cher-L and C-rap as far as I know

Aiden was good anyone can see that with Mad World, he's just a very difficult person to find music to suit him. Cher has talents too, not sure they are singing ones though.. Katie I agree with you.. she was Miss Average.. but at least she tried hard and gave it her best shot.

Ammi 09-12-2010 09:20 AM

I think Simon has had the biggest fall from grace - love or hate him he's always imo been credible with his comments before so gained respect for that - whereas Cheryl has always had her fans and 'haters' but her comments and opinions, as Dannii's and Louis aren't thought to be as 'valued' either to the contestants or the viewers as Simons. So I think Simon has been the biggest disappointment this year, for me anyways

I agree with this totally he could be great with the right songs but it seemed difficult to find the right ones - Mad World is still probably the highlight of the series for me

Its worthwhile posting it again so Mr Proximo can see what he thinks is so bad!!

anyone who thinks that is 'average' is clearly not completely in touch with reality!!

Being a difficult person to find suitable music for is part of what makes him 'a bad singer'.

He is terrible, full of egoistic contempt and abuses songs. He is a poor singer and will not be making any sort of career from this. Possibly in some kind of punk rocky niche?
Where the angle is 'Hey Im just shatting all over this song now what?'
