Galloway earned £150,000 for Big Brother

George Galloway was paid £150,000 for appearing on Celebrity Big Brother, an updated Register of Members' interests revealed today.

The Respect MP for Bethnal Green and Bow spent three weeks on the Channel 4 show in January.

At the time, his supporters said the appearance was raising money for his designated charity Interpal.

The MP's spokesman said today: "He will not benefit financially from it."

Mr Galloway is set to earn nearly £400,000 in total this year.
