Who will be the most successful out of the final 4?
In order I think it will go:
1) Cher Lloyd- In terms of appealing globally with the interest from USA and other countries aborad etc whilst keeping her UK fanbase, putting my bias aside... 2) One Direction- :( Pains me to say this but I can see them doing well with their screaming banshee fanbase after the show and Cowell's backing 3) Matt Cardle- Talented guy but I get the impression he won't like being told what to do and rightly he will want some input into his music so that could cause problems IMO 4- Rebecca Ferguson- Lovely girl, has a jazzy voice which I like but for me personality wise still dull.. needs more stage presence (Show Me Love a step towards this), has the potential to appeal globally but would the interest remain solid?. |
Rebecca.. maybe Cher
Don't know, it all depends what songs they release after and what direction they take themselves
Cher by far.. she'll be on the scene for years
Females seem to do the best, so I would say Rebecca and Matt have long careers, One Direction will get hit records but will fade fast once a new boyband comes along or maybe their best singer Liam leaves to pursue solo work.

Going OT I would like to see Paije get a record deal, his soulness was different from the usual pop we see on this kind of show...
Cher, Rebecca and One Direction will all do well. Matt is more of an album seller I think, so when he wins it will depend on whether Simon's label stick with him after his first single off his album flops.
I wonder does Matt write any of his own stuff? he was in a band before he went on X Factor
Matt , Rebecca is too boring , One Direction will lose thier appeal when the girls find out that thier all gay and Cher will be long forgotten about a week after the show finishes

I'm hoping it will be Cher, her stage presence is incredible. Not so much last week, but bloody beyond anything I have ever seen playing a teenager with mega attitude a fortnight ago. Would certainly play well in the US.

It's much easier to make a boring girl memorable than it is to make a boring boy memorable - because girls have the advantage of fashion and beauty; if you actually think about it, so many female celebrities are actually extremely boring with nothing to say for themselves but cover that up by being human clothes horses in addition to a singing career or whatever. For men, you need to be charismatic, no matter how good your material is, you need charisma or you'll fail - hence the gaping hole in the market for male solo singers right now. There are none. Matt is not one, he will fail; Rebecca won't. One Direction will be as popular for as long as their fanbase still fancies them so I can imagine them having short term success, I think they're flogging a dead horse as far as Cher's concerned in terms of trying to make her popular but I can imagine her releasing a few songs that will appeal to people in terms of it being a 'tune', so I think she could do alright... but Rebecca will be the success out of the four of them, in the long term.
Unfortunately I can see Matt going the way of Steve Borokstein if he insists on writing his own album. I would project a chart career about the same as Shayne/Leon/Joe.
RnB/Pop does far better after the X Factor so Cher, Rebecca could have bigger careers. One Direction will be massive for a couple of years, then have a smaller, loyal fanbase like Westlife and McFly have. |
I'm thinking Cher, but if Rebecca gets the right type of management and songs she could become international I think as America loves soul singers. One Direction will do well in the UK and Matt will bomb, good voice but nothing there he'll release a few generic songs and disappear.
Cher I can see lasting for a while
hate to say it but cher
Rebecca, I think with Matt behind.
One Direction are bound to have instant success regardless of whether they win or not, but I doubt they will stand the real test of time. Cher: she'll be a flash in the pan, a year or so from now....she'll be a distant memory. |
Pretty much the exact opposite what you put, I think Rebecca's Jazzy/Soul voice has global appeal whereas Cher will have a huge struggle trying to break any other market, especially with the attitude she has.
Cher will fade into obscrurity. Rebecca will be reasonably well, most girls have. Matt hopefully be do well. One Direction are a boyband and they already have insane fans, can see them doing really well.
Rebecca will do well worldwide, her voice reminds me of Adele and she's done well in America so I'm sure Rebecca will be able to achieve success over there with the right management behind her. Just can't see Cher breaking America myself.
1. Cher
2. One Direction 3. Matt 4. Rebecca Think Rebecca will do alright too though, just Cher will do the best. She's already started working on writing her own songs. :) |
Matt will surprise us all,he will be a respected musician and sought after and be mega, trust me,I know these things,he may not win,but just watch this space,Cher will slip down the nearest grid,Rebecca will do really well too as will One Direction.
