Closing 4am really sux
 

It was not competing with the main chat threads , we had no 'swords' or cliques. It was nightowl chat begun in BB11 and continued that way

This will get closed (probably before I finish posting) but it was harming no one and in a totally seperate part of the forum. Also - strictly NO CLIQUES were allowed. Crap was left outside the door

I don't think the 4am club did any harm tbh, nobody posts in the chat threads at night anyway so just go post in the loft or brotherhood or where ever you want. :conf:

OK it was a chat thread but there was never an issue before. Infact it was backed by most mods :conf:

During BB11 it was a neutral zone Jess - people whe were hating each other all day just chatted suger to each other. I don;t have a Novo sword to talk crapola and not in any of the 2 sides - 4am was 1 thread and harming nobody

Yes I know, I already said it did no harm. I think it was a good decision by the mods though, having two chat threads, just post in whichever, you don't have to be in a clique or anything, having too many chat threads causes divisions imo.

Maybe (and I'll be brutal) there should be one chat thread. Totally new (started by admin for neutral grounds) and you chat there or nothing

Some wouldn't though. I tried. But there were the odd few who just wanted to kick off....

Personally, I loved that thread. Bloody hell I started it enough times..

Sorry - 'sistahood' is part of a clique I wouldn't touch with a bargepole - it would be wrong after I took time to vote Novo/Locke as the Gruesome Twosaome for 1st vote ever in crapola

On that "Where did the 4am thread go?" thread in Suggestions I left a reply saying that I was surprised it had been locked and then that thread got deleted for no apparent reason. I know I only used it once or twice but it did just seem like a friendly place where anyone who was up at that ridiculous hour could go for a chat and it seems a bit odd that they felt the need to lock it

As much as I liked the 4am club. Last few weeks it's been quite full of arguments. Also some members use it to be petty and score points.

The 4am thread wasnt the only one that got closed, this way its back to 2 chat threads and you can choose whatever one of those you want to post in.

There's no point exaggerating. I used the 4am club as well and would often just go in there to chat.

What I don't understand Josy is that it was closed, along with The Independence, to then be replaced with 'The Brotherhood' which is a member thread for people to support one member. Now moved onto the 'Novo Nighthood', but it is still aimed at one member. For new people visiting the site, it isn't clear it is a main general chat thread. It should be named something more chatty.

That was just the new name for the thread Thomas, and no its not aimed at one member, even the very first post by Novo points out that anyone can post in there, I dont see how the title of the thread or who created it makes the slightest difference, its a chat thread just the same, we were also considering creating 1 new chat thread at first but with the amount of pathetic childish arguments that keep getting carried on we decided against it.

Edited to add - And it wasnt replaced, the brotherhood had been there longer than both the threads mentioned.

The Zeta and Brotherhood ( Now Nighthood ) were going long before any of this 4am thread ****e.. in fact both threads were in the top 5 most replied to in the old forum.. their was only about 4 people who posted in the 4am thread anyway.. you have the Loft if you don't want to talk in the Zeta or nighthood thread
