Cowell 'plans Glee-style X Factor album'

Simon Cowell is reportedly planning to release an album featuring the stars of this year's X Factor after being inspired by Glee.

According to the News of the World, all of the acts who feature on the arena tour will sing on the record, including Aiden Grimshaw, Katie Waissel and Wagner Carrilho.

A source said: "Simon has seen the huge success of Glee and wants to replicate it. He is in the business of selling as many albums as possible. The X Factor has so many more viewers than Glee over here so he thinks he could have a number one.

"The exact details are being worked out but it will be like Glee where there are a mix of group songs, duos and solos. Wagner will be there for comedy value if he agrees to do it. He takes himself very seriously."

There are also plans for the winner of the show to release an autobiography. The source added: "The finalists have all spent a lot of time with ghost writers who are already preparing the book so it can be rushed to print over the next few weeks."
Oh dear.
