Why do we always go for the safest option?
 

I like people who take risks, not afraid to cause debates and force people away from their comfort zone. Some people are really talented and likeable but they will do well anyway from this show.

Also it seems to me anyone who dares to do something else than the usual cheesy pop is basically laughed at:(.

Maybe i'm just way out there....but i tend to go for those i like to listen to and that sound good.
Personally i dont give a monkeys about their personalities, so long as the sound, coming from whatever media playing format i use, is the dogs....

Maybe its cos i thought this was a singing contest and not a game show?

Singing contest:joker:, it's all about marketability, making cash for the producers, controversy and ratings. I see it more as the acts being entertaining but serving a purpose to the Cowell machine by being given a platform to acheive their dreams and we tag along for the journey.

To win a big TV talent show you need to be fairly inoffensive. That way you appeal to the widest demograph of voters.
