It's not a big secret they did mention that he had been in a band on numerous occasions on X Factor

I never heard that :conf2:

I just thought it was the occasional gig, like a wedding or something, like the rest of them

They have been working together for 7 years,The XFactor is probably the break they needed,as Matt said he prefers working with the band.

Their album has gone to number One in the amazon d/ls charts, funny what a little publicity can do!

MATT Cardle's old band are in seventh heaven as they pick up fans off the back of their former frontman's X Factor success.
The indie four-piece, called Seven Summers, have seen their self-titled album shoot up to number 26 on Amazon's album download chart from out of nowhere.

The band's debut effort was released on 22 January this year to very little fanfare but their fortunes are now set to rise as Matt's popularity increases.
Former painter and decorator Matt was originally the voice of Seven Summers and played the acoustic guitar before joining the reality show where he is now one of the favourites to win.

The 27-year-old said: "If they are doing well and benefiting from this then I'm happy for them."

The album has now reached number one since Matts win.

He's so much better with a band

MissKittyFantastico 14-12-2010 08:35 PM

The album is really good, nice to see them getting recognition as well off the back of Matt being on X Factor. Actually prefer him as part of a band.

He's tied to Syco for a year isn't he under the X Factor deal? I hope he does well with his own album and then maybe gets Simon to sign the band as well and goes back to that, I was pleasantly surprised at how good they are!
