Iraqi hit & run driver to remain in the UK as HIS human rights will be violated

What an absolute joke. He ran over and killed a 12 year old girl whilst banned from driving but he isn't being deported because he has a family here so his rights have been violated.

Are they right to let him stay? I say get rid of him and ship his family off with him if they want him to stay.

Kick him out. But first run him over.

Pathetic. But this is what I expect these days, the laws on immigration and **** are just a load of bollocks tbh.

Hmm.. I'm generally pretty sympathetic in these kind of cases but I struggle to see the logic behind the court's decision here, doesnt seem right at all.

Paul Houston, 39, Amy’s father, has been campaigning for the Iraqi to be deported since his daughter’s death in November 2003.

“My daughter would be alive today if Ibrahim, a banned driver, had not flouted the law and got into the car that day. If he is not prepared to live by our laws, then he does not deserve to stay here. It is not a question of race. It is a question of right and wrong,” he said.
Exactly ..... as a persistent transgressor of UK laws, he should be booted out .....

Very true, but its not just about the human rights of the victim or her family, its about everyone's human rights.

This man has shown complete disregard for the laws of the land by committing an offence while out on bail for another offence and whilst also awaiting a deportation hearing.

Whats to stop him attempting to commit further offences now? there is no element of deterrence for him or others like him.

Should have been booted out first time round.

Reasons like this I want to leave the UK, we are a joke nation. :bored:

And I feel for that poor father, it's as if his daughters life means nothing...

InOne 17-12-2010 10:22 AM

Gah. There should be a point where you lose at least some of your 'human rights. We don't need people like this here.

This is the Fault of Poxy Euro Courts.

Livia 17-12-2010 03:52 PM

This is the fault of both New Labour, who flogged us the Human Rights bullsh1t, and of Cherie Blair , who was the lawyer who was responsible for making it a goer. Shameful.

If it had been my child that had died, I wouldn't want him out of the country or in prison. I'd want him out, free, where I could get to him. Once I'd calmed down obviously and could take my time making his excrutiatingly painful death last as long as possible.

It sounds like an accident (not a murder) but this is an example of the schizophrenic, bureaucratic BS, retarded PC immigration dilemmas in most western countries today. When you consider this:
- hundreds of UK citizens with foreign spouses will be subject to nothing short of 'guilty until innocent' borderline harassment, massive invasion of their privacy, they will pay massive fees, expenses and spend not only months but years in 'government forced separations'.
After months and years in a queue they will be harshly and coldly treated as 'suspects' and IF lucky get stern warnings and limited rights.
MANY will be rejected for the most trivial of reasons including officers who just 'feel unsatisfied' they are 'not innocent' yet.

Meanwhile, 1000 radical Muslims who HATE THE UK will blatantly and arrogantly take the neighbourhoods they want and nearly have to murder people before they can EVER be deported.

To compensate for the public outrage the Immigration people will respond by cracking down hard on.. ...legitimate 'proper course' spouse, student and work visas. To show the public they are rejecting EVEN MORE than ever before!
More proper applicants.

Wise up public and don't accept this. Then it's becoming time people start accepting that discrimination needs to happen.
