The total number of votes cast for the whole series of BB3 was 22,739,999, a record for Big Brother.

That's almost five million more votes than last year.

Eight and a half million votes were cast in the final week of this year's show.

Kate received 3,106,077 votes
Jonny received 2,244,788 votes
Alex received 1,817,086 votes
Jade received 1,404,422 voters

MUCH closer than last year, where it really was a two horse race between Brian and Helen when it came down to the final four.

The voting was close from those figures!! But Kate won by almost 1 million votes which is still a good margin.

It seemed closer between Jonny. Alex and Jade.

It was so good how it was so close, no one had a clue and everyone was thinking different! :dance:
It was very close between Jade & Alex - I would have preferred Alex to go first, although I think hes brill! :thumbs:

What would be interesting would be how many votes each contestant had at each cutoff point. In theory, once Jade's line had closed, Alex (or even Jonny or Kate) could in theory have been ahead of Jade by one vote, but their votes kept coming in. So what were the "scores so far" at the cutoff points.

Another thing. I'm sure BB were disappointed that Alex did not make it into the last two, because far more cash (er sorry I mean votes), pro and anti, would have come in, whereas once it was down to Kate and Jonny, many of us weren't so concerned about which of them won!

But im glad Kate won

I'm glad it turned out as it was, I had a feeling of dreed that Alex was going to win, but in the end it turned out ok. Pity Jade never come 3 rd but you can't have everything I suppose. Now we'll see if anyone becomes famous from it. :dance: :dazzler: :dazzler: :dazzler: :dazzler: :dance:
