Would you have cosmetic surgery?

Cher is on TV (not the X Factor one - the plastic one) which made me wonder, would you?

I wouldn't, surgery terrifies me

Vicky. 17-12-2010 09:46 PM

Yes. But I wouldnt get anything done to my face I dont think, if it goes wrong, you're knackered :/

Mystic Mock 17-12-2010 09:47 PM

no,i only believe victims that have had there faces badly burnt in a fire should have plastic surgery if they want to.

Josy 17-12-2010 09:59 PM

No I dont think I would get anything done plus I would be too scared of the surgery.

Harry! 17-12-2010 10:01 PM

No,I wouldn't get surgery unless it was absolutely necessary.

Ninastar 17-12-2010 10:06 PM

I would get fake boobs.

Not something I'm proud to admit though, but I really want them.

_Seth 17-12-2010 10:36 PM

Yeah, I'd get my teeth done. :)

fruit_cake 18-12-2010 10:03 AM

I wouldn't mind bigger boobs but other than that I'm pretty happy, I certainly wouldn't want something plastic in my body, so I guess its no.

BB_Eye 18-12-2010 12:31 PM

Reconstructive cosmetic surgery -if I needed it-, most definitely.

But nothing like botox, cheek implants, collagen injections or facelifts for turning back the clock though. I have nothing against vanity per se, but it makes people look unnatural and even more ugly than they ever thought they would have been without the surgery.

ILoveTRW 18-12-2010 12:45 PM

I would love perfect teeth and I definitely plan to get laser eye surgery so I can stop wearing contacts.

Zippy 18-12-2010 01:06 PM

I don't see anything wrong if it boosts your confidence. It's all very well looking at the horrific examples but there are many many others that look fantastic after having some. Its like mens toupees; you only notice the bad ones whereas the good ones you can't even tell.

I think the key is to just have subtle things done that just freshen up what you already have without actually changing it. Im sure there are numerous celebs who have had work done but its just not obvious. Bit of botox, bit of fillers, skin peels etc etc

Personally I don't need anything done yet but if I feel any need in the future then I probably would. Gotta make the best of what you've got.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 18-12-2010 01:17 PM

i dont need it

thats not cosmetic surgery though. It's corrective surgery.

oh.

well then the only cosmetic surgery I would have is a boob job

Tom4784 18-12-2010 02:53 PM

I probably wouldn't.

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 18-12-2010 04:37 PM

I would. I have big boobies. (not humongous) eventually gravity will catch up to me, or my future children have sucked the perkiness out of them. I wouldn't mind getting a breast reshaping.

Jack_ 18-12-2010 04:39 PM

Doubt it.

Jords 19-12-2010 09:20 AM

Naaah.

Lewis. 19-12-2010 09:28 AM

Don't think that it would be something that would cross my mind. It just seems really fake and cheap to have your body changed, unless of course you have been badly burnt etc.

Pyramid* 19-12-2010 10:49 AM

I'm probably going to go down the botox route after Christmas - happy to have a bash at that - non perm effects and if I don't like it, it'll wear off.

I'll try the non invasive route: but doubt if I'd go for anything more drastic - not on the face - if it goes wrong, and it can go really wrong - you're fecked.

As for boob implants..... the one thing everyone seems to forget is :

a. They need to be maintained (ie; need replaced every 10 years on avg)
b. Gravity will eventually creep up and you'll likely need an augmentation
c. In very 'later' years - if you have them taken out, see b. above

And that's if it all goes well without a botch job or complications. That's all money, time spent in hospital, further operations, further risks - fine when you're fit, young and healthy ..... but that might all change as you get older.

WARNING: Graphic

I did warn you !!!!

Millions of successful boob jobs out there.... but a lot of botched ones too, they just aren't advertised ... not exactly good for business and all that!

Lee. 19-12-2010 11:11 AM

I would definitely go for botox.. I have two lines, one a frown one between my eyes which I hate, and a laughter one at the side of my mouth which I don't mind..

Would love a tummy tuck but have seen too many bad ops to ever consider it seriously..
