A little help.
Does anyone of anywhere that's quite warm/hot in March. I am gonna book a holiday for around March 20th and I don't really want to go on a cold holiday. Malaga in Spain where is my first choice is about 14 degrees. I'd like somewhere in the 20's if I can. If anyone is knowledgable with weather and geography it'd be a massive help.
I have tried to search the net but it's just giving me the weather now. |
Canary Islands

Any of the Canaries
|
Well thanks Smithy, but what's the temperatures around that time?
|
Also I'd like somewhere where I won't get shot/mugged/raped or murdered.
|
Its hot all year round, will probably be 30+ :p
|
and you won't have any of those things happen to you either

Are you sure, isn't the Canary Islands in the middle of the sea? What about pirates :o
|
Tenerife is nice.. The North is greener and more mountainous but as a result gets more rain.. There are lots of nice resorts in the south, but stay away from Playa de las Americas as mugging/stabbing is probably a higher risk there :)

What about Australia?

If you go to Australia can I come with :amazed: and I think that's their Autumn, march
|
The temperatures for Australia are ace, it's backwards to most other places.
March is 24.7  |

The problem with going to Aus is the time difference.... 24 hours in transit and an 11 hours difference hits you harddd! :') so I'd only go there if you were going for a few weeks, so you have time to overcome the jetlag and enjoy yourself!
|
Morrocco, Egypt, Southern Portugal or Tunisia are generally pretty warm in March.

In regards to Oz. It's only 24 hours if you get a direct flight, and they can be very pricey but although it will be their autumn it is usually still warm in the South (Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide). I wouldn't recommend going there though just for a couple of weeks. You won't get to see much and if you just want a bit of sunshine it's quite an expensive and exhausting option. EDIT: Don't ask why I quoted myself! |
Cancun

Canary Islands.
Ive been to all 4, if you cant think of anywhere else they'd be a great choice. |
Lanzarote is nice. I'm going there in January and it'll be around 21 degrees. The flight is only 4 hours, 3 depending on what the wind is like, and I'm pretty sure that there isn't any time difference. It's not a massive place so 1 week is enough to be able to see all of the sights, although I'd suggest 2 weeks if you want to go there for sights and a relaxation period.

Tenerife > Gran Canaria > Lanzarote > Fueteventura
But theyre all nice, Fueteventura however can be very windy. |
Mmm it looks like Spain/Portugal/Canary Islands would be a good choice. Thanks everyone for your help!
