Best film soundtracks.
Movie muzak, innit. You can do scores or just licensed songs that have become synonymous with the film, I guess [like do a Survivor song for Rocky but not a Girls Aloud song from St. Trinians because Girls Aloud are not known through St. Trinians unless they done a special song for it but you get my point. I only watched it for the 43 seconds it took me to crack one out. Survivor are synonymous with Rocky unless your some sort of weird Survivor nut in which case make like a tree and fuck off].
Been loving everything off Trent Reznor [Nine Inch Nails] & Atticus Ross's superb The Social Network soundtrack recently. It's great without ever once overshadowing the visual which is what a great soundtrack should do [are you listening, Hans Zimmer's Inception score?]. Juno Reactor's stuff from The Matrix sequels are worth a mention [I bone Ben Watkins anyway] : And this still gives me the chills and reminds me of the time I first saw Pulp Fiction : I'll do more later. |
