Started off when an unemployed graduate burned himself alive after being banned from selling vegetables without a permit apparently. How long was it the President had been in power for? It was quite a while I think

The great thing about civil war is, it's usually the radical bastards that kill each other in their wars.
Best solution is to wait it out. Let the psycho's fight it out 'til they kill each other as much as possible. Then send in the UN worthless bastards, sorry i mean "peace keepers" to pretend they sorted something out. |

If you are referring to the civil war, the southern states never stood a chance. cause the minute the war broke out, all those big european investors making millions off the slave treade high-tailed it back to the continent, and absconded.
Didn't stop you british from making a hell of a lot of money from selling black people though, did it?? Americans fought the war in blood to stop slavery, but you little bastards were quite content to run off with all the money, weren't you? |

We stopped our part in the slave trade well before you colonials did. |

Cause all the brit's i talk to online seem to not realize their part in slavery. Despite the fact that Britain had slavery for thousands of years, America only had slavery for a couple of hundred. When's the last time you saw a movie about Britain's slavery? oh yea, never. |

Why is it so many brit's are so well aware of the holocaust of ww2, but so unaware of the various genocides they committed under the union flag in North America, India, and Australia?? |

Britain was forced to pay compensation some years later though |

DYLAC?

Ever read Heart of Darkness? One of the most acclaimed novels of the 19th century, it highlights the dark side of the colonisation, something you'd be hard pressed to find at that time. You really are clueless when it comes to British perceptions of the Empire and slavery |

Dylac, its a quaint military acronym for "its not often you are right, but you are wrong again" |
