Early Heads up: Cold set to return next week
 

Just a quick heads up for everyone, the cold weather is set to return late next week as a result of high pressure building sending colder air our way.

At this stage too early to say how long the cold will be here for and where will see snow, but the latest charts are showing an increase in snow risk by next week.

More here as it develops and of course Metlink.co.uk will have the latest.

Plenty of time left for snow here in Scotland..... as late as March iirc! (I was sunning it up in Cancun in March and my house sitter/cat sitter was snow bound!)

I'm off like 1-3 days every week until the middle of February, so I hope it doesn't snow during those days.

Good, Im missing the snow now. Its even more of an excuse not to do anything.

We have cold air still hanging about in the Highlands of Scotland, advisory warning issued for Strathclyde and Highlands for Heavy Snow, but for the rest of the UK it looks like a 2nd band of rain is pushing in but it will be milder of 7-12C. Sorry for wasting my time.

Warning for Scotland for Severe Gales. Winds of 30-50mph. Gusting to 60-90mph. Also bringing snow in the Highlands, Perthshire, Aberdeenshire and Angus.

We just had Hail, Snow, Thunder & Lighting with gale force winds never lasted long though it seems to be calmed back down again.

Flowers, Birds and Yellow Skys and all that bollocks and lambs and easter, Jesus.

I love Winter and one of the main reasons is Snow.

It'd be epic if Spring was ruined for all the happy-go-lucky bitches out there this year if it just kept snowing right up until about April :love:

Everytime I see a faint chance of snow I get excited :joker: And this is from someone who's been snowed in twice now, infact three times within a year :D
