Why Did The Millennium Dome Change Name?
Wasn't it called The Millennium Dome in like 2000?
That sounds so much better than the 02 Arena. I mean why London? Why name your biggest venue after a ******ing phone company? I mean how did it even get it's new name anyways? Was it after 02 the Phone Company or something completely different? And Why the hell did they change the name in the first place? Did anyone else prefer The Millennium Dome? I'm not from England, So I don't really know this and I've always wondered it. |
I think the O2 bought it off the government so they got to name it. And I think the Dome was good.
|
It ran out of cash and was bought by O2
|
It had loads of financial problems I think
Not sure if they ever intended to keep it after the end of 2000 anyway though |
It's called sponsership and corporate advertising and it's been around for quite some time now.

-came to make a smartarse reply; it's already been done-

|
It badly needed a rebrand. The Milennium Dome had such a bad rep and lost heaps of money.

The only thing I remember about our school trip to the Millenium Dome was some giant model of the human body you could walk through...wasn't that interesting.
