Leaving School in 2 Weeks!

I officially leave school in 2 weeks time (today). In the next couple of weeks i leave school, do my gcses, go on holiday (to turkey again) and of course have my school prom.
Its going to hectic for me!! Is anyone leaving school soon

BigSister 05-05-2006 09:16 PM

no but I remember when i left school. Im finishing my first year of uni though

Pipergun 05-05-2006 09:17 PM

I'm not completely leaving school, but my compulsory education finishes this year: I've been accepted into my school's 6th Form, so will have another 2 years at my current school before I have the dilemma of what to do next!:hugesmile:

We're not being allowed exam leave: we're in school up untill 26th May (half term), and after that we have compulsory revision sessions to attend, and countless exams to sit! :bored:

My school prom is at the start of July, and my last exam is on June 16th! :colour:

Are you going into 6th Form, Gazza? What plans do you have, if any? Hehe!

BigSister 05-05-2006 09:18 PM

awww no Tom thats not fair, I dont know any1 who doesnt have study leave

Pipergun 05-05-2006 09:19 PM

 They told us nobody had it this year, I've just realised........ school of liars!! :bored::bawling:

ThaGazBoi 05-05-2006 09:39 PM

Ive been accepted into two colleges, but i have no idea which one to go to! One is doing Media Studies and one doing Web Desinging.
I didnt get into my sixth form because of my attendance :bawling: but im deffo going to college

sol 05-05-2006 09:45 PM

Ive got until July 21st

I go on study leave for my AS exams on the 19th May, then on something like the 15th June, after all the AS exams are over, our whole year has to come back to officially start the A2 course, and we are still in Year 12!
By the way, sciving this A2 thing isnt an option inless we're quitting the subject for definate, if you scive then come back in September asking to continue the subject, you will be chucked off the course

Pipergun 05-05-2006 09:47 PM

Media studies and web design both sound interesting to me!

I'm taking English Literature, History, Geography and German in 6th Form!

That is soo unfair, Sol! :bored:

Can't they understand that our brains will be seriously zapped after the exams, plus we're all due a holiday by then!

Cool I do History, its good but you have to be prepared to read quite a bit, but as you're doing English Lit that obviously isnt a problem for you
Gazza if I were you id do the Web design course, a lot of people who do Media Studies for A-Level in my year are annoyed because apparently, the subject had poor career prospects, I reckon you'll have a better chance of employment with web design :spin:

Good luck with the exams and everything Gazza, i remember when i was where you are it was great to be finally leaving school but doing all those GCSE's were horrible, looking back at it now i wish i had taken more interest.

BB-Rocks 05-05-2006 10:07 PM

I am, Gazza. I'm leaving on May 18th & the days are just flying by now.

It's a weird thought.

I left on the 18th last year. though we didn't know about it till the actual day. Was a weird and nice surprise.

Haha, what a coincidence!

Shame we have to go back in for exams from June 7th to 19th though.

Are school isn't giving the year 11's any study leave either, there in untill the 26th because they think they'll just be out on the streets so won't revise so want to keep them in school as long as they can to do revision.

For me, that'd be better cause i really can't sit down and revise in my house. :bored: But hey, i'm only in year 10.
