Wel well well..That makes me feel rather old! I vividly remember watching it.. I must have been 10!

And yeah,it was pretty horrendous!

no it was just the way he said it in such a monotone voice as if he didn't care

true, but still he cant be all like shaking and crying about it

It was also the anniversary of the Apollo 1 fire this week

When he said that, it was obviously a shock reaction.

It was being shown live in classrooms all around the country as well, because the Challenger was taking the first "teacher in space". A lot of fuss was being made about the first "teacher in space". She was going to give lessons from space. So a lot of children were actually watching it blow up live in their classrooms.

Horrible tragedy. R.I.P. Apollo I, Challenger, and Columbia.
