If Big Brother Had Went On... What Series Would It Of Ended At?

Call me sad, no really feel free to infact this is probably is sad, but last night I couldn't get to sleep at all.
So I did that thing you're meant to do, 'count sheep' only it's for 3 year olds, so I began counting 'BBs' like 'BB1...BB3...BB6...BB9:amazed:...BB11...BB14...BB1 5...' and so on, it didn't work by the way but I still did it.

Anyway it got me thinking if Big Brother was renewed for another contract yeah?
And IF JADE GOODY HADN'T OF STARTED THE RACISM ROW which would of meant BB8 would of been a success aswell and so would the other seasons after that, then how many series do you think it could of gotten to before it was axed?

Now remember, the public were all on side with Big Brother for years until BB4, and then they all loved it again for BB5-BB7 up until Jade came in again.
So you must remember in your answer, BB was still in it's 'Golden Years' as Jade didn't come in, there for Ratings didn't decline since BB7.

Okay?

Here's what I think, I'm just guessing infact say these out loud, and let me know which series just sounds unrealistic for you:

BB1
BB2
BB3
BB4
BB5
BB6
BB7
BB8
BB9
BB10
BB11

BB12
BB13
BB14
BB15
BB16
BB17
BB18
BB19
BB20
BB21
BB22
BB23
BB24
BB25
BB26
BB27
BB28
BB29
BB30

and so on if you want...

Now, you may think 'What a deluded bastard as if any reality show, let alone BB, go up to that...'

Well Sir,
ILoveTRW will also tell you the same, that The Real World is one of, infact if not the, longest running Reality Show and the format is almost identical to Big Brother.

Personally for me, I think the show would of stopped at Big Brother 16 [2015]

I think it would have reached a natural end point like it did anyway as a result of lower than usual ratings, only it wouldn't have had it's quality plummet as fast as a result of post shilpagate censorship.

It would not have run forever. You cannot compare it to The Real World in that regard because it's never had a summer griphold over an entire network of channels with near constant airtime and a very dominating presence.

I think even the people who - right as they are - complained that the ratings were still very good for a C4 show missed the point on that. It wasn't just ratings. It had the presence and treatment of a supershow and it stopped delivering supershow ratings.

I think BB would only have ever ended when it became too controversial for channel 4 to handle.

Back in the day The Real World would air almost 24hrs repeating the latest episode over and over again and often doing marathons of previous seasons. MTV, MTV2 & Vh1.

It's a different monster. Notice I still called it a monster.

Big Brother used to get national attention not seen until The X-Factor a number of years later. It was comissioned for huge amounts. It was Channel 4 at one point in it's history. It also delivered a massive, massive audience share.

I'm sure The Real World delivers big too but what's it's audience share in America? With it's population of 300 million? And what format does the show take? Episodic Reality TV that can be watched again and again however you please? Big Brother works far, far less effectively like that. Real World repeats are much more plausible than Big Brother repeats based on the nature of the show alone.

No doubt arguing this is pointless but those who know ... know.

The Real World is definitely easier to repeat.

I think the British public are to blame for the downfall. For some reason they put part of the blame for Jade and Jo's actions on BB. Whereas on TRW much more racist things have been said and 100% of the blame goes on the housemate, for example in the very first season back in 1992 Kevin argued on the streets of New York with poor old Julie about how black people could not be racist and how he was going to kill her (I think he is now a member of congress lol).

Probably finished at 16, started again and finished for good on Big Brother 18

Big Brother should continue every year.. forever!!!

But yes.. Jade going back in the house.. them putting Nikki back in. It was all ridiculous!! However PEJ was just wanted a "twist" in the mix. Now that he has done this.. hopefully the future producer of BB won't make silly mistakes like this again. Once you are evicted you should be evicted. And ALWAYS a vote to SAVE.

Also.. no one in the house should know each other.

I liked the launch night twist on bb11. When they all sort of knew each other beforehand. But.. from now on.. They should just go back to go into the house 1 by 1. Showing the little VT before hand.

I was also thinking.. maybe on launch night.. about 12 males should go in first and then females go in a week after. I don't think bb8 really failed with this to be honest. I think people thought it did because it was after the Jade racism row and there were less viewers watching!

Omg yes.. I think 10 males should go in. Then a week later 10 females go in!! Maybe not a week later.. maybe a few days later or something? Like.. on the Friday the 10 males go in.. then the Wednesday.. 10 females go in!!

I think it would be quite competitive.
