Deal signed with Denise Van Outen hosting?

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/news/...-of-ok-tv.html

If she had said contractual obligation before she signed up for OKTV!, then her/her agent's solictor surely would have known and pointed it out before allowing her to agree to anything? And would Desmond really allow her to buy out of / agree to terminate her contract for a better offer recieved since as last minute as three days before it starts / because she had a contractual obligation prior to signing that she / her agent has only just become aware of? The only logical conclusion really is that this contractual obligation is new and for a newly comissioned / acquired bigger than OKTV! channel 5 show not included in today's line up announcement ;).

So what do we think? The only thing that really goes against my theory is the "both parties wish eachother the very best". Which suggests whatever the other contractual obligation is, it's not with them, but again, I just can't see Desmond, the guy who tried to get out of paying for failed comissions, simply accepting that at this late a stage.

What has that got to do with the fact that she's not presenting OKTV! anymore, plus flu isn't a contractual obligation.

How the hell could she start off a New Show with the Flu virus?

Desmond wouldn't let her out of her contract because she has flu, unless she agreed to be bought out of it on that basis at Desmond's request and rather pull out she was pushed.

She couldn't but that doesn't mean she could never present it.

AJ. 11-02-2011 02:44 PM

They could of done a screen test & they don't think she's up to the job.

On this Show
they wanted a start off deal.

This Flu Virus is the real problem

So as Kate Walsh knows
all the SkyNews makers
she is ideal from day 1.

You do not Know King Desmond

OK Mag is his baby

OK TV is his Extension of his baby.

I really doubt they'd say contractual obligations if it wasn't so. It's one thing to bend the truth, it's another rto make things up.

A spokesperson for the 36-year-old presenter released a statement earlier today stating that she would not be fronting the prime-time show and blamed a busy schedule.

Yes it would look silly saying as her Flu was so bad
she pulled out.

So the spokeperson has smoothed it over.

Its like this was all set up some time ago
tests did well
but by the 1st Impotrtant show
she would not look or sound good with Flu.

Not personally but I do know of his reputation and have heard whispers about his conduct and I don't think the flu has anything to do with it, though it is very odd and C5 did sack all male announcers just after Desmond tookover (presumably part of an attempt to make the channel feel more aimed at women and titalise their husbands).

Surely she was aware she had this busy schedule when she signed up? If not her agent should have been.
