Haven't seen her (other than a clip of Black Swan) but I missed the first hour or so. Only put it on at ten

Shaun 13-02-2011 09:26 PM

I have to say this film seems to be a bit overrated. I haven't seen it but I can't see it being as outstanding as these awards make out.

What's wrong with that?

Just as the Oscars give American cinema priority. Even though I think The King's Speech won too many. I agreed with Firth and Bonham Carter's awards, they were deserved.

Loved the recognition for Harry Potter, Jo was as elegant as ever. Can't wait for her new books!

Nothing Im just saying Bristish films do better at the baftas. Im happy Rush won myself, I thoguht he was the best in the Kings Speach.

No need to complain, firth will win oscar, Portman will win best actress, Bale will probably win Best Supporting actor and Amy Adams or Melissa Leo will win Best Supporting (however Carter might shock and win).

Social network will win Best film as well. Its predictable

Shaun 13-02-2011 10:46 PM

I meant the King's Speech :p

I thought Inception was better than The Social network but I haven't seen the Kings Speech yet, it's one of those films I'm putting off seeing cos it's sounds really boring:joker:

I did like the social network but Inception had me thinking about the film for days afterwards and I couldn't wait to watch it a second time knowing the ending which is why I loved it.

That's exactly what I thought, it would be boring. But I was pleasantly surprised by it.
Depends on your expectation I think.
