I'm not saying I dislike Express Yourself anyway - its a decent song - I just think BTW is miles better. :D

Umm not a rip off, maybe influenced but no way is it a rip off. If you can't hear that they both have very distinct sounds then you be needing hearing aids. :tongue:

I'm neither a Madonna fan nor a GaGa fan so I'm being completely objective, I only heard GaGas one for the first time a few minutes ago and was completely gob smacked by how similar they are

I'm not a Madonna fan either, I just prefer Express Yourself to BTW.

Fair enough I can only just hear the similarities, they aren't blatant to me - someone had to point it out that the songs could be seen as similar. Anyways to call it a rip off is another thing altogether. The song maybe influenced by Express Yourself but it is in no way a rip off. :/

Well, I hadn't heard anything about the song but when it came on the radio I thought it was Express Yourself and then I couldn't tell and then I realised it was GaGa. Then Smithy said other people had said it so I typed the two song names into google and turns out people think it so much they've made mash ups of the songs.

I don't hate GaGa, when did I ever say that?

Yes but that doesn't mean everyone thinks that. I don't really listen to Madonna and I've only heard Express Yourself once or twice so I didn't connect BTW to it immediately until someone pointed it out to me. Even then I couldn't hear anything strikingly similar, only maybe the way Gaga sang a few of the words.

But if you think it sounds similar then k.

The original is far better than BTW
