As lead singer and guitarist respectively of brat-punk band Voodoo Hussy, Shabby and Pyro have toured the UK taking on headlining slots at every rock venue from The Cathouse in Glasgow to the Relentless Garage in Highbury and Islington. While enjoying a rock'n'roll existence as members of the London-based quintet, the duo started writing new tracks as homage to other musical influences away from the punk rock sound.
Thus was born Inner City Waves, a reggae/pop/electro hybrid with a little nod to their rock background. Telling the stories of life in the Big Smoke, from breaks and makeups to issues with the current political situation, this skateboarding production and songwriting team are the poster children for the disillusioned urban youth of modern-day London.
