When Life Throws you unexpected surprises - good ones!!

Okay. ........... I received the most unexpected and best gift that I could never have ever dared wish for today............ something (or rather) someone who has been a massive thorn in my side, a real pain in the arse arrogant, overly egotistical little $h!t of a human being, will be out of my hair for good very soon. I never expected that in a million years of wishing that I would receive this this news at all, never mind the day before I reach another notch on the 'getting aulder' calendar. A better birthday gift I could never have imagined happen - but it has and as horrid as it sounds.... I am bloody delighted.

What's been your best very unexpected, out of the blue surprise - and why?

Did you have them "taken care of"?

Lucky you I've got one of those thorns, though I'd call her much worse - she is evil (if you did get them taken care of can you pm me the contact details)

Oh... believe me, the list of spot on adjectives I could use would fill up a million posts................................ not needed anymore. Revenge has been sought and even better, it's been self inflicted. ;)

Sometimes when someone acts too big for their boots, thinks they are better than they actually are, and believing in their own self inflated ego: they manage to severely trip themselves up along the way.

Catching them out and being 'one step ahead' of them....... playing them at their own game and winning, helps immensely.

Not that interesting to you guys but suffice to say: someone who thought they should have been given a position over anyone else - I should say a very senior position for which they weren't qualified for (academically or via experience) - internally or externally. wonderfully competent at own job etc, but the man managment / people skills were shocking, displayed bad attitude to authority figures, spoke to others like a piece of **** and didn't see anything wrong with it etc, wouldn't (couldn't) accept there are better ways of putting things across etc, and has been throwing toys out of pram ever since because they didn't get their own way.

I think the last good unexpected surprise I had was last year when I got an accidental delivery of 100 teddy bears to my flat that were left without question; it's brought much amusement and joy to my flat/people who visit us, haha.

I'm delighted for you Mids. Funnily enough, I had one of those kind of days very recently when I got offered a job I'd been waiting to be offered for months - bureacratic old shoite was holding it up. Four hours after I was offered the job I was offered another - better - one with a different organisation. Happy days  (I took the second one by the way)
