Would you give your eight-year-old daughter Botox?

What age do you think a woman should start having Botox? In her thirties or forties, perhaps? Or never? How about at the age of eight?

Birmingham beautician Kerry Campbell thinks she's doing the best for her eight-year-old daughter Britney by regularly injecting her with Botox.

Kerry purchases Botox and fillers online and carries out the treatments herself, injecting Britney's forehead and lips with the substances.

The beautician told the Sun: "What I am doing for Britney now will help her become a star. I know one day she will be a model, actress or singer, and having these treatments now will ensure she stays looking younger and baby-faced for longer."

"I'm sure people reading this will think I am being irresponsible, but I ensure that I test the Botox and fillers I buy online on myself first."

"All I want is for Britney to have the best start in life, so it is easier for her to become a superstar."

Britney said: "My friends think it's cool I have all the treatments...they used to hurt, but now I don't cry that much"

"I also want a boob and nose job soon, so that I can be a star."

Cant say I agree with this mums thinking.

Is giving a child Botox good preparation for living in our looks-obsessed culture or just a really bad idea?

What the actual ******! What a stupid bitch. For that I really hope her daughter never makes it big, although that poor kid is ruined for life as she is fine with this happening.

Niamh. 23-03-2011 06:47 PM

Surely that's some form of child abuse and illegal?

Stephanie 23-03-2011 06:50 PM

that is vile. her daughter is going to look horrible when she grows up. way to ruin a life.

The initial article I posted is slightly misleading. They now live in the States. Its even worse though I would recommend reading the full article though.

I'd assume it is illegal. At least for cosmetic purposes

Then again it can't be if the silly cow's flaunting the fact.....

Its not illegal, the beauty industry is self regulated. However doctors advise that botox is only administrered to adults.

That does not stop parents from going to other countries to have treatment done.

Crazy. Absolutely crazy

Livia 23-03-2011 09:59 PM

It's tantamount to child abuse.

Zippy 23-03-2011 10:22 PM

A child that age doesn't need botox! It will make no difference whatsoever to the childs looks and will just wear off in 2-3 months.

and the long term affects of botox are still not known so this stupid Mother is potentially causing her all kinds of problems in the future. For that reason alone children should be banned from having it injected.
