"Traditionally, in some countries such as New Zealand, Ireland, the UK, Australia, and South Africa, the jokes only last until noon, and someone who plays a trick after noon is called an "April Fool".[1]"

It's not the rule here:nono: who even made that rule up?

Jack_ 01-04-2011 02:47 PM

It's a stupid rule which I've never followed. Unless you stay up till noon you'll hardly get any time at all in which to do some April Fools.

All day is far better.

Also http://www.irishcultureandcustoms.co...prilFools.html

As with most Celtic customs, timing was critically important. Tricks could be played only until noon. The exception was on Orkney where one had to wait until after noon to perpetrate a prank
