Would you go somewhere, alone, in fancy dress?

Say if you're on your way to a party and it's not Hallowe'en or anything obvious where people may dress up. Would you have the guts to walk the streets/use public transport etc. dressed in fancy dress? No mates either to make you look more sane nor hopping in cabs! :D

Locke. 01-04-2011 09:40 PM

No. Would you?

Judas 01-04-2011 09:41 PM

Yes, if I was going to a mates house and when I got there they are dressed up.

Doubtful. Maybe after some Dutch courage

Lee. 01-04-2011 10:02 PM

Yes, no bother at all

Jessica. 01-04-2011 10:13 PM

no way

Stacey. 01-04-2011 10:13 PM

No :L

Claymores 01-04-2011 10:20 PM

I have done this many moons ago - it was a "Punks, Tarts and Vicar's Party"

So I went as a tart - in the crappy pub if anyone had dared criticise my short skirt, fishnets or OTT makeup then they were getting a smack

Omah 01-04-2011 10:53 PM

No

Stu 01-04-2011 10:55 PM

Yeah why not. Peoples fear of absoloutely nothing always astounds me. Who cares what strangers on the street think? I'm John McClane and I'm drunk. Outta my way.

Josy 01-04-2011 11:08 PM

Yeah, I don't really care if people think i'm a nutjob

joeysteele 01-04-2011 11:11 PM

Yes, I have done it before anyway.

Livia 02-04-2011 07:22 PM

Yeah, probably I would. I've walked home from a few fancy dress parties if that counts. Of course I'd have been a bit worse for wear at the time.

Suze 02-04-2011 07:26 PM

Yes I would :)

You have to get yourself into the mindset that you don't know these people looking at you like you are a loon, so what does it matter? And if you bump into someone you know then you can easily explain it away :)

I know I shouldn't condone violence :joker: but I love your post :joker:

It depends how far away they lived.

Vicky. 02-04-2011 07:41 PM

Eugh. I might be in this situation soon :(

In 2 weeks, its fancy dress at work, but gavin might have to help his dad setting up discos so Id just have to meet him at the pub. In fancy dress.

f/

Edit. And I just KNOW that none of the customers will turn up in fancy dress too

Jords 02-04-2011 07:43 PM

If there was no other way home you dont have much choice.

Niall 02-04-2011 07:54 PM

I'm not sure, depends on what I was dressed up as.

This actually reminds me, this girl is having a fancy dress party and these other 2 girls that are going are going as ketchup and mustard - they are taking the bus there. I'd be mortified doing that pmsl. :laugh3:

Kerry 02-04-2011 08:51 PM

I'd have no problem coming home. Odds are it'd be very late and I'd be too pissed to care

Benjamin 02-04-2011 08:52 PM

Yes, I have done this many times. If you look at my Fb photos (those of you that have me) you will see the many stupid things I sometimes wear.

I'm a huge fan of fancy dress and theme nights. :)
