logo ideas

Yes.... I know a few threads start with BB eye.. But this is kind of different.

If eatock continues to design the BB eye, should he go back to his simple BB2-BB9 or use effects like in BB10 and 11 also the fire eye (who desinged thatt?)

Anyway I'm thinking a eye with the inner made out of a roulette wheel and die, chips and cards somehow scattered around for the eyelashes. Ideas?

But if.. Its a completely new design then is desmond gonna make it look like his paper redtops eg. Imagine the daily star font but reading Big Brother and have the 'dot' above the letter I... Some cheap bb eye replacement instead of the dot

I don't understand.

There were 2d and "effects eyes" for every series. What difference does BB10 and 11 make?

like... Made out of other objects. The others you could quote easily make on microsoft paint

It's too early to say anything yet until or if we know that famous eye logo is returning... Jesus it could even be 2 eyes

And a mouth

And a penis
And nose

I don't understand either. They all had template variations. BB9's was made out of shattered glass and BB10's was made out of a thumbprint. BB11's was worked around flowers, BB8's was made up of a test card.

What's the difference? None of them are real. They didn't actually use glass as much as they didn't actually use someones severed thumb.

BB11 is the only one that even vaguely looks like real life objects formed into the eye.

Marsh. 12-04-2011 10:28 PM

I think he means because BB11 was made using flowers, all put together to form the eyes.

But still BB10 didn't use objects placed together. It's quite easily drawn.

it's just lines.

ok BB10 was a bad example but your being thick if you can't see re difference from celeb bb 7 and bb11

Marsh. 12-04-2011 10:30 PM

CBB7 used an awfully cropped image of fire for the eye and BB11 used flowers. Only examples.
Thought BB10 was an odd choice.

yessssssss. I would rather see an eye made up of toys, like soft and chess pieces to resemble the eyes 'fun' therm this uear rather than something I could draw

Marsh. 12-04-2011 10:34 PM

But it's just a logo. A visual identity.

A random heap of junk (or toys as you call them) would look awful.

Yet... very channel 5. So who knows

It will be Endemol that decide on what the logo will look like. C5 will most liely toss out a few ideas of a general theme, then it gets designed from there. Endemol comission the logo.

The reason your post got moved was because it was a fan made DESIGN, which belonged in the fan made design subforum.

Specualtion can go where ever, which can't be said for you. Do one!

Thats what this forum is for. :S

Answer to OP - I prefer the graphic eyes not the ones that are made to look realistic CBB7/BB11.

MrFrost 12-04-2011 11:01 PM

graphic, that's the word I was after, oh ok. Well I liked the fire and flower ones. Well, let's hope endomol don't mess it up

I prefera graphic logo too. The CBB7 and BB11 eye were ok because they sort of broke the tradition of a BB eye, but for the re-launch on C5 I would like a funky graphic eye.
