Mel B replacing Cheryl C?

Mel B appeared to let slip in a radio interview yesterday that she will have a role on this year's X Factor.

The former Spice Girl revealed on Heart radio that she is planning to move back to the UK later this year for "quite some time" with her family.

She quickly added: "I don't think I was meant to say that though. Oh sorry, pregnant brain, maybe that was a secret."

When probed by presenter Jamie Theakston whether that meant she is replacing Cheryl Cole on the ITV1 talent show, she replied: "Maybe so... anyway... I'm in so much trouble, why did I do this interview? I don't talk about anything unless it's ready to go."

Speaking about a possible return to her hometown of Leeds, she said: "The whole family is going to move, I think. I've yet to have the conversation with my husband but I have been thinking about it. I think if I'm going to move here, I'd move here for quite some time so the kids can get settled in school."

Simon Cowell and Cole are rumoured to not be returning to the UK X Factor because of their commitments in America.

I'll watch this year as I've watched every one since Season 2.

But I really hope this is the last one.
And I hope the winner's single flops.

Swapping one non-singer from an overrated girlband, for another non-singer from another overrated girlband. Good business sense. lol

I was never a fan of the Spice Girls but I still think they were important on the pop map commercially and culturally. There wouldn't have been the girl groups there were if not for them.

she would bring a great personality to the show

but I was hoping for somebody, well, bigger...and more relevant as a modern day chart artist.

but she's still one of the better suggestions..

I'm going to look away and mute whenever she comes on the screen.

Not one of my first choices but she would be interesting on it, think she'd do well actually.

I'm just happy someone will be replacing her, I will enjoy the X Factor far better without the sanctimonious Ms Cole.
