Well Done Talk Talk there service Blocks kids at Homework Time
From Ch4 News
Talk Talk have spent £20million on this Homework time 5PM to 7PM or what you set means kids computers can not go on Facenook or YouTube. Its a Filter that Kids can not get around only on Talk Talk service so far. Mumsnet are very happy with this. Feel The Force. |
Lmfao thats so stupid. They really think kids aren't gonna find a way to get around it? Please. http://www.spillitnow.com/images/smiles/morning.gif

Seems like the moms can't control their own kids so they want a phone company to do it for them.
|
Is this mumsnet who were too busy arguing over a fictional psychotic character in a tv soap rather than taking care of their children?
|
You could just ... do a million other obvious, more simple, cheaper things?

No they can not its blocks Facebook YouTube and others during homework time Very Clever Talk Talk Internet now getting more Family Customers. |
What's wrong with their parents blocking their computer and phone at homework time? Or are parents now resolved to all responsibility and there has to be legislation to control their kids?
Mumsnet... honestly... someone give those bloody women something to do. |
Clever for business possibly. But could be a terrible idea because the sole USP of blocking internet isn't something masses have been demanding. Also what if an adult needed to use one of those sites in an emergency and would either have to call the provider or wait for the block to be over.
But this is a great problem nowadays, children aren't getting disciplined properly and parents are too reliant on other people to do the work for them. How will children learn to avoid distractions when they have higher education like university they wont know how to unless someone forces them too. Disagree totally with this idea. |
Isn't letting kids do homework on the internet pointless anyway.
Obvious everything will be a wikipedia, yahoo answers job. |
I think there should be a similar function for mumsnet, one that blocks them from going on the site, then maybe they could use their time to make their kids do their homework, just a thought :3

No as there are Proper Education Sites they use. But no more Facebook or hours on YouTube 'Anal women' |
Can't these useless Mums just unplug the internet for 2 hours whilst the children do their homework. Sounds like they need a bit of educating themselves.

They can just a have one user account on the thing and not let the kids know the password. Simple as. No need for these stupid ass, waste of money filters that'll more often than not annoy rather than help people. |
