Male or Female Doctor?

Men are buggers for avoiding the docs full stop. But, guys and gals, do you prefer or demand a male of female doctor or aren't fussed? Plus does it make a difference if you just need a check over a sore throat of something more intimate?

I prefer my doc, a female, but only as she knows me. Generally, I don't care

Beastie 13-05-2011 12:43 AM

If it is one looking at my vagina I rather it be a female doctor.

Beastie 13-05-2011 12:44 AM

Not sure if I trust any doctors. You know what them Mccann's are like!

Locke. 13-05-2011 12:45 AM

Female

Am I the only one thinking about this sexually? o.O

I prefer females for stuff like that. However when I gave birth the world and his wife got a view

LemonJam 13-05-2011 12:47 AM

As long as they do the job [] I really don't mind.

GypsyGoth 13-05-2011 01:15 AM

I've only ever had a female doctor.

Vicky. 13-05-2011 01:19 AM

I actually prefer male doctors. They are much more gentle. Women doctors (for things like smears and that) are bloody butchers :o

I recently had to go to the doctors having not been for many years for a very intrusive check up(ooh matron). I actually requested a female doctor. Having grown up in a female household I just feel more comfortable talking about personal stuff with a woman. I think thats unusual for a guy but I guess it depends on your upbringing.

So if you found a lump in your doolally's you'd be happy with a Yahoo diagnosis?

My Doctor is female and I feel very comfortable with her, I did have a different female Doctor but I changed when I got pregnant with my first child because I really didn't like her and wanted a Doctor I was comfortable with and actually liked when I would be going alot. I have been to male Doctors but for "womens issues" I'd much rather a female Doctor, I'd just feel more comfortable plus they are a woman so know exactly what I'm talking about as well.

If I need to see a Doctor,I don't care if it's a male of female one, however generally I find the female ones seem to have more time for you.

Glenn. 13-05-2011 10:13 AM

Thought you meant Doctor Who:sad:

CharlieO 13-05-2011 10:21 AM

I'd prefer a women doctor, just more comfortable around them.

_Seth 13-05-2011 10:40 AM

I'd rather a male doctor for everything.

Lee. 13-05-2011 10:52 AM

My doctor of choice is male. He's about the same age as me, swears like a trooper, is very funny and almost verging on mad!

However, I do request a female doc if a trip to the docs is going to involve latex gloves at any time!

And it really doesn't help that my man doctor is really quite dashing!

-cringes at thought-

Every female doctor I've ever seen has been bloody useless. Consequently, I prefer a male doctor. I'm sure there are brilliant women doctors out there, I've just never seen one.

Yeah exactly!

There'a man that drinks in the pub that I work in whose wife is a midwife and was actually involved in the birth of my first baby.. She sometimes comes in with him and I just constantly think "oh my god.. you've seen my lady garden!"

I know she won't be thinking that at all, but yeah stranger FTW when it comes to all things natal/gynae related!
