Do you own any board-games?

In this digital-age, do you own any 'actual' games? Of the non-games console kind?

Got a few up in the loft from when I was a kid, haven't played any in years though, apart from monopoly.

Jords 14-05-2011 01:59 AM

Yepp, we definitely have Monopoly + Scrabble, probs a few more too.

I want the Sheffield Monopoly but I'm not sure how often we'd play it.

Jordan. 14-05-2011 02:53 AM

Got loads but they're 'away' in the loft never to come back down.

I think the last board game bought at my house was cluedo, played it once and it was in the loft after a few months. :laugh2:

Got that for my babby one Christmas but, as with most games, the pieces ran away

I have literally bags and bags full at my dads. In the loft though

CharlieO 14-05-2011 09:21 AM

Loads from my childhood, monopoly, trivial pursuit (kids one, the adult one is crazy hard).

Loads others but i cant think. They are all in england though so haven't played any in ages.

Lee. 14-05-2011 09:23 AM

I have Cranium, Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, Articulate, Monopoly, Scattergories and Mousetrap

Niall 14-05-2011 09:23 AM

Yeah we have Monopoly, Scrabble and Cluedo. And we have like a bookcase full of old boardgames in the garage (not that we play any of them though ).

MTVN 14-05-2011 09:32 AM

Yeah, we have loads, havent played one in ages though

KG. 14-05-2011 10:03 AM

Yeah we play them all the time when we have family round, Trivial Pursuit, Pictionary and Outburst mainly. Outburst is such a beast of a game.

Doogle 14-05-2011 12:27 PM

Loads, but they're all in the loft.

Junior Cluedo was ftw.

I also loved Mouse Trap. <3

Princess 14-05-2011 12:50 PM

Think they're all in the attic.

Pyramid* 14-05-2011 12:50 PM

Used to have loads of them.

Trivial Pursuit was always a favourite.

Can't remember the name of one that was great fun - especially when drunk and there are a lot of people, split into teams. teams..... egg timer., Card picked by one team and the other team had to name as many items that were listed on the card as possible, before egg timer emptied.

All sorts of rammies and fights over "I said that" - especially when team members are all individually shouting out answers to beat the 'clock'.

Cluedo still a favourite.

Hungry Hippos is great for a daft laugh as well (all the better when drunk!)

Oh...that rings a bell. Let me go google.... I think that's what it was called!

Checked it... I think we used to play it diffently though.

EG: the opposing team picked a card - question was: JUNGLE ANIMALS. Card said: lions, tigers, elephants, cheetah, gorilla, monkey, orangatans. Egg timer turned over: the other team shouted out the 'animals', and we'd score off it they got it right.

At the end, when the 'asking' team captain, read out the list on the card, inevitably, if they hadn't scored off TIGER, someone who had indeed said it, but not been heard because everyone was shouting out at the same time, would take the huff etc!!

Was bliddy brilliant!! :)
