Daily Star Unreliable Auditon Reports?

I dont know if I'm wrong here but all these news stories about big brother's return on channel 5 being overloaded with auditions is really hard to believe, I know BB is big here in the UK but i don't think that Channel 5 have drawn in as much auditionees as channel 4 did, which makes me worry that big brother will look good in the adverts and turn out to be ****e

For example I was having a coffee with one of my good mates the other morning and he didn't even know Big Brother is coming back, so basically I think it's a bit of a shab.

Yeah some people at my work didn't know it was coming back. I am sure when they start the big advertising campaign in July people will watch. However most people watch channels 1, 2, 3 and 4. 5 isn't much of a mainstream channel.

Of course it's made up. It's the Daily Star. The hillarity of some of the over top words they have been using to describe the supposed excitement for this series is hysterical.

Absolutely agree. I'm excited BB is coming back, and I know quite a few are, but they make it sound as if the whole country is turning maniacal because they are excited about the return.

Its the only paper that cares.

No other paper has said anything aboiut the return

The only type of people who care are all to be found ... well ... here. It's hillarious and doesn't really bode well for the series publicity wise because it IS getting a lot of publicity on 5 and in DS but nobody else really cares. It's still a dead show just being beaten quietly over in the corner on a trashy channel.

It's not exactly Willy Wonka golden ticket excitement montage.

I agree with all of the above. But I hope people who used to like BB in the early years may give it another chance on Channel 5. I know its not likely because well its Channel 5. But I hope Endemol hasn't been influenced by channel 5 in the actual production process as id hate weekly shopping tasks to be like: How many Daily Stars can you stack on top of each other. I just hope the only mention of Channel 5 is on eviction numbers and Adverts.

Of course the daily star will over hype it, i expected that from the moment it was announced it was coming back! i said from then i was gonna be optimistic about the new series but i'm getting worried to be honest! one minute they say back to basics then wannabe bikini clad babes and hunks! hmmm...............! please don't ruin it channel 5, you've got a great chance to put on decent show!
