Blame Corrie for hiring Daran Little back in the 90's, he now writes for EE and created The Only Way Is Essex

They'll fade out sooner rather then later, This Hills phase is just that, a phase.

I enjoy these shows as its fun to laugh at their intelligence. But I do not think it should have won a BAFTA over actual dramatic shows which involved acting.
The faces of Downton Abbey cast's faces when they lost to TOWIE were actually funny though, even though TOWIE did not deserve it.
They only won because of the common british public voting.

The thing is I've often seen people going "hahaha! They're so disgusting!" as if they need a weekly television show reaffirming the idea that such people exist. Off the back of their Vaudevillian circus these people have become famous, rich and delusional. For being famous, rich and delusional.

It just doesn't make sense. You can't really complain about a shallow, materialist generation and then feed them.
