The Hangover 3 Confirmed.

Quote:

The Hangover Part 2 debuted last night to the tune of $10.4 million, making it the largest midnight opening of any movie thus far this year, and the biggest R rated midnight opening in history.

Of course there is going to be another sequel.

Director and co-writer Todd Phillips has already stated that a story for The Hangover Part III is in the works. And while The Hangover Part II sticks close to the formula set up in the original, this last chapter, in what will be a trilogy, is going to deviate from the path laid out before it by the first two entries in the franchise. He then gave no further details.

We recently caught up with co-writer Craig Mazin, who went more in-depth into the story plans for The Hangover Part 3.

"I cannot image a worse hangover than the one they experience in Bangkok. That's it. No more. The third one really has to be about something that gets them off of this cycle. Every time these three guys get together, something terrible happens.
The third one is about saving them from a life of agony. Sometimes you are caught between a rock and a hard place.

If it ain't broke, why fix it? This isn't really about responding to internal criticism. For the third one, I think it's really about what makes sense for the characters. When you are making an action movie, the action star is really an avatar for you to go through that situation. Its about the plot and action.

This really isn't about the plot. It's about these guys going through some sort of horrendous growth experience. If we are going to end it...This isn't James Bond. We're not going to do The Hangover 20...There will be another one, and it will be the hangover to end all hangovers. And in a sense, it has to go to another level, again. The Hangover Part II goes to another level in terms of how dark and insane it gets. The Hangover Part III will go to another level for the guys."

Expect the final instalment of The Hangover Trilogy in 2013 as Phillips has also showed an interest in a 2012 sequel for Due Date which also stars Zach Galifianakis.

Watched Part 2 earlier, have to say to all you people that have been saying 'It's going to suck, won't beat the first'.

Get ******ed.

It was actually really good, it wasn't just something the director sh*tted out for more cash, it did the first justice to be honest.

Give it a chance.

Not as good as Number 1 but still awesome.

It's barely been out 48 Hours, we had to wait weeks for a decent Scream 4 link to appear online, you'll be waiting ages.

Just watch it in the cinema, better anyway.

I watched part two and it was almost the exact same as the first but set in asia. I was disappointed.

Part three will probably the same thing set in south america.

They just said Number 3 will be completely different, something about breaking a trend or their bad luck.

Bradley Cooper said it was great how the sequel was the same as the first one, I agree with him - it was awesome to see how it's been tweaked about abit - the references to the 2009 film and that.

If they did it in the 3rd one again then yeah, it would be a joke.
But they said the 3rd will be completely different.

And you're going to listen to some silly review why? Scream 4 was kicked in the balls when it came to reviews, and it was widely ALOT of people when they gave it a chance.

Reviewers don't know what they're talking about these days, it's just like with a Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 - the movie is fantastic, but it's looked down upon because the silly reviewers just keep comparing it to the first film.

It is over rated [well the first one] yeah; but it is one of the best movies in a long time.

Far better than Avatar - that's over rated.
Due Date was quite under rated I think, no one gave that a look in. :(

Like they said, it'd be over kill if they went into The Hangover 20 or something but I think a trilogy is a nice way to end it tbh.

There's not many good comedies out anymore, honestly - just like with Horror Films, that genre is dieing again.

It's a shame; comedy films nowadays aren't funny - at all.
Maybe it's just my humour, but I often find myself sitting in a so called comedy like this :bored: whilst some ****** behind me is rolling on the floor laughing at some average joke that would be delivered on Family Guy.

dont get how they make the third any different seeing as the name of the franscise is the hangover

Thought this aswell

I hope they don't make it some emotional realisation for the Wolf Pack or something.

LMAO I sometimes sit there thinking wtf is so funny too :bored:

Tbf, I feel asleep at The Hangover 1 and put it down to be boring but I should give it another try

I didn't really like part 1 that much,I thought it was funny but as a film it was a disappointment

Patrick 27-05-2011 09:51 PM

I don't know why though but The Hangover 2 seemed like it was on for about 3 Hours.
The Hangover 1 seems like it's on for about 40 Minutes LOL.

Cool, I'll probably go to it. I really enjoyed the first and although I was disappointed with the sequel there were a few parts I found really funny.
