Will Channel 4 turn a blind eye to Big Brother?

Just seeing there in another thread, Sid mentioned how;

'It was a massive part of C4's history - they can't deny it was ever there.'

Which is interesting - so I'm just thinking; when Big Brother was picked up on CH5 and it was being reported on ITV News, Online, C5 News etc

The only two channels I think it wasn't mentioned on was BBC and C4.

BBC - Obviously DGAF.

Channel 4 clearly knew but I can understand why they didn't mention it on April.

But let's say in BB12 - It does become really big, the nation does get hooked again and there's something like Fight Night that kicks off and everyone and all the major news channels are talking about it.

Would Channel 4 even mention it then?

Do you really think C4 will always go on acting as if BB is over forever or will they eventually give in and talk about it like a normal show on things like T4 and 4 News?

They might feel silly though after constantly having their idiotic voice-overs saying 'Now..THE LAST EVER BIG BROTHER LAUNCH' 'NOW THE LAST EVER DAY 17 IN A BIG BROTHER SERIES' 'NOW THE LAST EVER BBLB' 'NOW THE LAST EVER BIG BROTHER HOUR' etc etc.

So yeah what do you reckon?

From what I remember - they had it online.

Didn't see it on the telly though.

I think if somthing big happens e.g Fight night channel 4 will trash talk big brother.

Patrick 05-06-2011 01:03 AM

Good theory actually.
Could see them doing that.

Channel 4 suck ass and became too PC. bLEURGHHHHH

Yeah they will turn a blind eye to it. Unless a "fight night" or something happens.

Or if something makes headline news. Like someone being "racist". lol

Oh yeah - if that happens they'll 100% jump on it and insult it.

They even insulted it on the news during CBB5 aswell and it was still theirs ROFL
It's gonna be weird hearing:

'4 Housemates on the Channel 5 series Big Brother have been at the centre of the world news this week for holding a pillow over a black housemate's face waiting until he suffocated to death - Big Brother issued them with a warning.'

Like just hearing the reporter say 'Channel 5's Series Big Brother'

Lol, can people not get over it. Who cares if channel 4 hate the show now, whether they regret axing it or whatever. It doesn't really matter now.

CharlieO 05-06-2011 02:30 PM

I highly doubt it will ever be more popular than it was on channel 4 but I think channel 4 will always ignore it like stuck up twats.

And?
We can still discuss it.
