Share your pets!

Think there is a thread similar to this but can't find it so have started a new one!

I've got 2 pets - a dog and a cat.

Missy is a 3 year old Dachshund cross with a Beagle. She's the sweetest dog I've ever known but is a grumpy sod and doesn't like cats or dogs, which makes it difficult to walk her without embarrasing myself on a daily basis as there are a lot of dog walkers around my area - I'm hoping she'll get better as she gets a little bit older but there's no sign of that yet. We can't let her off the lead because she tries to ecape every time and we spend a whole day patrolling the fields looking for her. We gave her a Christmas jumper once for a laugh and she sulked all day when we put it on. She managed to get out one day when we left the backdoor open and we saw her run into the forest and run back out 5 minutes later without the christmas jumper on

Alfie is my 8 year old cat - he had a sister called Maisy but she went missing 3 years ago :( He doesn't come inside and lives quite happily in a bush in the back garden. He's very fluffy and is constantly shedding hair all over the place but he's probably on his way out now due to his cancer (being a white cat it was inevitable that he'd eventually get cancer due to how common it is in white cats). He's very lovely and just as much a part of the family as the dog, even if he does practically live outside. He had white kittens and we practically gave one to every other person in the street, so for a while there were loads of white cats roaming the streets and now that he's getting old they are like his little gang, looking after him.

We have 2 dogs, Curly and Sophie. We used to have 3 but Jake (the collie on the right) died last year :(

Curly is around 11 and Sophie is around 13, they're both rescue dogs

This is my cat, Dizzy, she's 6 years old I think, maybe 7. We got her when she was just four weeks old from a rescue shelter and she had blue eyes when she was that small, here's a pic:

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net..._6833371_n.jpg

 She lost one of her eyes in a fight which was very traumatic, she'd never been in one before and unfortunately this ginger cat scratched her eyeball and it burst in front of my mum later on in the day (we didn't know she'd been in a fight until that had happened and saw all the hair on the back steps... :( so sad) which was awful for my mum. She's really fat now and is so lazy that she lies down on her side when she eats pmsl but I think that's because of the eye, she hasn't caught any animals for ages so we think she might be a bit depressed or maybe just doesn't care anymore. She's really intelligent, she knows how to open all the doors in the house and in the mornings she goes into my mum and dad's bedroom and manages to wake one or both of them up to get fed through a variety of methods (pawing their faces; jumping onto the bed from the bedside table, flicking the blinds, knocking the phone off the hook...) - she stands on her hind legs and looks like a meerkat if you hold up a treat which is really cute and she doesn't like to be held for too long, she starts to squirm away and scratch/bite if you try to hold onto her when she doesn't want to be held. I love her to bits  she's such a character .

Good thread! Sorry for wrongly accusing you in the other thread. :)

I have one fish. I did have other fish, but they all died! This seems to happen all the time. Maybe they just don't like me. :(
