Jersey Shore is just a rip off at the end of the day, there is abosulty no difference between the 2 in terms of format, and everything that happens on jersey shore happened 5 times over 10 years ago on the real world.

It is, but at its peek (2002) the real world was pulling in 10m plus per episode.
Personally I don't understand how Jersey Shore is getting the ratings but I bet it won't last for long. And MTV knows this and thats why they have crammed 5 seasons into 2 years.
