My view of the application process by Jay Frost
Hi. I'm Jay Frost. You may know me. This is my view on the application process.
So.... Manchester.. Both dates, 1600 applicants. Only 400 get stamped. Yes/No Room, only 150 get YES London.. Both dates, 2000 appplicants. Only 550 get stamped. Yes/No Room, only 200 get YES Total. 350 left in competition Probablly 60/40. Woman/Man. If your a lad you stand a 1/120 chaannce of getting in? Anyone care to agree with my Big Brother excitment. |
It would be 50/50 because there is an even about of male/female HMs bar maybe 1 due to newcomers (if 1/3/5/7).

So more women will be rejected to equal it out...
|
Basically I'm saying if your lucky enough to still be in the runnings then you have a good chance... If your a straight welsh lad at this stage. Your in.
And I think I know who that is. |

You've got no chance then

Another joke thread?
|
Actually no. This thread works out pretty accurate I think. Most of the people that got back to the DR are probably being spoke and sorted out now. The callbacks end in 6 weekso

My audition day was weird i had 2 interviews with producers. One for like 10 minutes then at the end of the day another which was about 20 minutes. |
I feel special that I was in the 1/4 to get stamped.. Lol.
|
Is that all it is the final 30? Bloody norah. Big characters stand out then. I hope to god that people arnt being fake and its a good buch onf people. It would annoy me as I've auditioned and I'd know for. A fact I'd be better than some of them..
You may get a call back then seeing as you got 2 interviews |
There isnt 350 left because the people who got a "yes" had to go back for another audition day then day after the auditions, and some people got rejected during that. They did longer interviews (about 2 hours each) and more group activities. One guy got rejects minutes after he walked in the door.

I was told to wait for a call within the next 6 weeks or so and not to tell anyone even though everyone ****ing knows I never even did DR but did 2 interviews. One was 10 minutes and the other was longer with alot of questions about my intentions and what would i do if this come out in the press blah blah blah. Perhaps its different for different people? |

Mabye them telling you to wait for a call within the next 6 wks or so is the modern day term for, "Don't call us...we'll call you". I'm sure we'll all find out soon enough . |

Like thoooomas said they told someone no as soon as they walked through the door. Ive never thought i would get on anyway but ive got my fingers crossed. Like you said i guess we'll see |

Well I got a yes and went to the DR, literally everyone that was there got told the same thing that they'd be contacted within 6weeks, there certainly was no rejections of 2hour interviews. defintly was one getting rejected when they come to the DR interview especially since they had a booked allocation. Also past big brother housemates e.g. Anthony hutton waited WEEKS before they got called after there diary room audition. |
Agree with dan lewis and joey. Well thomas I'm guessing. There is about 350 left? How much do you reckon then?
|
*there are about 350 left......
Bloody Blackberry |
This overlooks the number of people who've been recruited (even if it's only 10-20 people, they have more of a chance of getting into the house as they're going to match what the producers are looking for).
I'd say your chances are less about sheer numbers than: a) The number of competitors for your character role (i.e. OTT gays, hunks, geeks etc) b) Whether or not you've got one of the producers in your corner who believes in you Quote:

1st day.. you are at the picking pens for 1 round.
2nd round.. little questionnaire and short interview. If you get past this stage.. it's a 30 page questionnaire and a group discussion?? Then you are usually called back to do a diary room interview about the questionnaire you did. Plus longer group debates/discussions! Then after this.. I think you are told "we might ring you back" if you are rang back you are probably in the final 200 or whatever then go down to London for further group debates/games and an interview?? Then after that.. a shortlist is finalised?? |
Or maybe it won't be as many as 200 in the preultimate stage?? But should be more than 30? After this stage.. like I said.. a shortlist should be finalised and they will also have plenty of people from the preultimate stage as stand ins...
Therefore if you got to the diary room stage.. there's a good chance you are already a stand in! |
